I have written many times to Hardwood Giant about issues with the installer who laid down our flooring and issues I am now having with the floor lifting. This issue has been ongoing for a year with no response.

Finally I received an email from the franchise owner of the stores in Ottawa on August 2nd telling me he would be coming over to inspect on August 4, 2023 and I did send some pictures for his review. Around 2:30 I got a call from Brian saying he googled my home and said you live in a trailer which I do not. I live in a modular home with steel beams underneath and the house is going nowhere. He told me he remembered the house and said the problem is that I have *** subfloors.

I proceeded to tell him that when he looked at the flooring to measure there was no flooring down and he saw the subfloor. No mention that the subfloor was *** I pointed out two low spots and he said that the installer would level them off. We proceeded to get the flooring down and the installer said it was not necessary to level the low spots. After 6 months I started noticing issues with the floor and many times tried to get Brian to come and check.

After a year and filing complaints with head office and putting a review on the website in Ottawa I get a call from Brian as noted above telling me it is a *** subfloor. I asked repeatedly why he did not say anything to us when he measured or the installer. Finally he said if I want to take him to court go ahead. THIS SEEMS TO BE HIS ANSWER TO MANY PEOPLE WHO HAVE ISSUES WITH HIM.

Is this good customer service?

So now perhaps it is time to take the next step and take Hardwood Giant to court even though I am a senior living on a fixed income. I will never recommend them and am totally cannot believe the attitude.
