Stole my money

The company was a nightmare to work with and I can give specifics upon request and all the emails back and forth with a long history for just one order, but in short they made errors on shipping out of country, didn't include all the paperwork for shipping so it was held at customs. I was told by UPS that the shipper, Happy Medium, did not include all the necessary paperwork for customs and for that it was held at customs. I notified Clint at Happy Medium and he said "We ship all over the world, including Mexico, and never once had any problems". Then when I responded with the information directly from UPS to Clint at Happy Medium he wrote me back saying that this is the problem and headache they have when dealing with shipping to Mexico and the problems I will face while visiting a 3rd world country. Which is it you've never had problems shipping before to Mexico or Mexico is a 3rd world country with headaches to deal with when shipping? Then I told the company that I felt I shouldn't have to pay for shipping since this was a company error and even UPS was clear on this and Clint at Happy Medium sent me an emailI saying my comments and request for refund was "just noise" and basically suck it up its your fault you're in a country with customs issue. Not im sorry or let me check on our end on why we didn't provide all the correct paperwork, nothing, just i look into it and get back to you.Then Clint sends me an email saying he spent a lot of time answering over 30 emails and said he should have never dealt with me because I'm in Mexico. Again which is it we ship all over and never had any problems or Mexico is a headache? Let's be clear on this there are a lot of emails back and forth because from day 1 I sent an email asking to place an order, no response for days, then follow up to confirm they received order, then they said yes getting shipping costs, no response for almost a week, then they needed clarification on address then it was follow up to sending back order, etc. All with delays that had me have to follow up because their communication was horrible. Just to name a few: Placed order 10/8, no response for 5 days so followed up on 10/13 and again no response for another 6 days until 10/19 saying it would ship out next business day, it shipped 10/22 and on 10/24 I sent an email about customs issue and lack of paperwork no response for 3 days heard back 10/27 saying they would get back to me, no word for 8 days. Sent another email on11/4 and they responded on 11/5 saying no word but would get back to me. No follow up from Happy Medium or word for 21 days so I sent another email on 11/25 to which they responded the next day saying still no word but will get back to me about partial refund. These are all just to get a refund. I emailed again on 12/4 and they responded on 12/5 saying yet again they would get back to me but nothing had been done. I emailed again after no response for 6 days on 12/11 Happy Medium said they'd get back to me, no response for 17 days so emailed again 12/28 no response at all. I sent an email on 12/11 and they never responded at all and now we are at the end of January. I called my bank and they said it looked as if Happy Medium was stalling, so it would go past the 60 days allowed to make a dispute and after 60 days no dispute was allowed to be filed. What a dirty way to do business and I hope the way you treat your customers will come back to you in your endeavors. Be warned about companies and people like this who do not care about stealing your money. I'm expecting a list of lies in a response to this complaint from Happy Medium and let me just say this to be perfectly clear, anyone considering purchasing from this company reading this review who wants facts, not he said she said, I am more than willing to provide all the emails back and forth if it helps someone from having to go through this headache for 3 months. The Only reason all of the emails are not included here is because it's too many put into a review. One thing Clint was right about is it was a lot of emails back and forth. A lot of emails with him lying about following up on giving a refund which he never did. In his eyes Happy Medium can make an error, blame other people, lie about giving back any money at all, be rude to their customers, keep all of my money for absolutely nothing in exchange, and expect to stay in business for the long term, good luck with that. You've been warned. Horrible company.
