Good morning,

I hope this email finds you well.

I have reached out to London Hamleys store through Resolver regarding a electronic toy purchased in the London Hamleys store. The toy exploded in our home and I am providing you with my initial email to Hamleys.

I have had a response from the London store Philip Corkery (Customer Services Hamleys of London).

He has asked me for my claim idea due to the damaged toy and since then it has been over 2month and I have only heard Phil say that i am not forgotten and the people responsible for the claim are hard for him to reach.

I frankly do not longer believe that.

My initial email to Hamleys through Resolver:

Dear Sir / Madam,

I am writing to you to raise an issue about: Product fault

The issue that I have experienced was: We visited the London Regent Street on 12/3 and bought a Light spinner toy, that was advertised on the floor to us. We were truly impressed and my daughter couldnt wait to come home and play with it. We charged it once and my daughter loved it. However, the shocking part now follows.

We put the toy on charge by the usb cable provided, just like the day before. Today, as i stood near the charging toy, it exploded and turned into flames immediately. Burned piece landed on my arm and burned my arm, and my hair got ruined too by other parts of the explode plastic and wires. Please see images attached.

I am so grateful that my daughter was not present at the time of the explosion as she could have got hurt badly as she is only 10 and would have faced the toy on a lower level. Worse, I was responsible for another child, my daughters friend and they could had been hurt too! You as a company, are lucky that she walked to play, unimaginably lucky!!!

You are also lucky that my face is undamaged, however a hot piece landed on my face too.

I am extremely, extremely tarified of what happened as a parent, as a person, especially as that this toy is from Hamleys directly!!!

I am not asking for a toy refund only, as that is something that would be a simple costumer service move in a case of a broken or faulty toy!

We are asking for a product refund and compensation and expect nothing less from Hamleys.

It occurred on: 2023-04-13

This meant that I have been affected with minor burns and that my daughter could have been seriously hurt, still deeply terrifies me!!!

Our home still smells of burnt plastic!

Product refund and compensation!

I look forward to your prompt response on this matter. As recommended by Trading Standards, I would like to keep a complete record of my case, so please reply to this email address.

Product exploded and turned into flames!

I have got the images provided to Hamleys through Resolver, I will be happy to provide those.

I have offered £15000 claim for the faulty product.

I look forward hearing from you as it has now been 3months and I do not feel Hamleys is taking the damages seriously!

I wanted to settle the claim to avoid legal envolment and I also avoided social media damage!

I can provide proof images and all the emails exchanged with Philip Corkery (Customer Services, Hamleys of London).

Customer service is really bad. I called 808084**** and spoken to vaishali(supervisor) Jagdish n lucky.

They are not bothered. Im calling them every alternative days and they are asking me to wait. It's bee more than 10days I'm calling.

These are the people whom i spoke to on the last day April 27th.kindly solve my issue. My product is not delivered.

I bought Zorbi magic flyer on 31st July and it was very disappointing that when we opened the box my the saucers lights were not turning on. Thread is also keep breaking.

May I please ask for refund. I am happy to return the product. I have packed as it was in same condition with receipt. I can send you pictures if required.

I bought it from London Regent street, however it is too far from where I live. It is really frustrating to see damaged toy inside the box.

Hamleys - About a product

I bought a car INR 6500 approx and in a few days it stopped working. Kindly help me if you have any warrantee or guarantee for the product. I purchased product from hemleys, ahmedabad one mall, ahmedabad- India.

Late Online shopping dispatch

hi, i have placed my order 5 days ago, and it still havent been dispatched. as i searched online that it will take 3-5 working days to receive my item.

Hi, Im super annoyed as we made a trip to blue water specifically to buy play putty, as my son is having counselling at school and they use it in his sessions - and he wanted some at homewe found what we thought was soft putty only to discover it was more like a liquid and simply sticks to your fingersit resulted in *** of a mess in the car and i cant imagine why you would sell such a product - it would be a stretch to even sell it as slime, which we most certainly didnt want.
