Do NOT order from Halloween City

I ordered a costume for Halloween. I never received the costume but DID receive an email stating that my order had been returned to the company and a partial refund would be applied. I tried calling but was put on hold with over 47 people on line in head of me. I called again a day later and was told a full refund had been applied. I explained that I still needed my costume but was told that it would be impossible to get one this close to Halloween now (it is now Oct 28th). I was also told that the reason I never received the costume was because "a double shipping label" had put on the package by the company with two different addresses. I asked to speak with a manager and was told that there wasn't one. Horrible experience. If they made a mistake, they should have rectified it and sent out another costume immediately or at the very least, over-night one. No fixing of the issue and not able to speak with anyone in charge is ridiculous.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE

Halloween city is something new in our town of Phoenix Arizona on 24st and baseline. I purchased some type of glove but you put it on like a ring. Halloween night i put on the glove and the ring part immediately comes off with no force at all. I look up the website and it clearly says it closes on 11/4 so I go in today 11/3 to get my money back for this defective item. I get to the store and they tell me that they are closing today so there is nothing they can do about it. The associate lets me find a replacement but there are no more left and i dont want a replacement just for it to happen again and then im really stuck with it.She then brings up that i can speak with her MARKETING MANAGER PAUL. i requested to speak with him and tell him the situation. I explain to him that the gloves are unworn and are fully packaged and the girl who was working could even see that. he then begins to be very disrespectful and says he finds it odd that i am returning them today and not any other day as if he knows my work schedule. I asked him if a cust finds a hidden damage , that there is basically nothing you can do for them and its basically an "oh well" situation and he says yes it is an oh well situation. I then ask for his name and he says my name is paul and you can go complain about me all you want and then he hangs up in my face....... I then requested for the worker to call him back then he lies to her and says that the mall had a bad connection and hung up How ironic...... this company is not professional. I'm not telling you not to shop there but just realize that you are in for one if your costume starts to fall apart at home and you can't do anything about it mind you it is not cheap in there. I work for customer service and i told him that this is not the way you handle a situation like this. you don't get rude with the customer even if there isn't something you can't do about it.He tells me " i bet your company has a return policy." i say well there are items that are non-returnable but if it's because an item is DEFECTIVE or DAMAGED we do anything we can to please our customer.Halloween city is not there to make money and please customers. They are there to collect money and say "Oh Well "if a custome falls apart without you even having to wear it as paul says.Worst customer service experience in my life.HONESTLY.

Rude salesperson

I recently purchased a packaged Morphsuit from your 2495 S Havana St, Aurora, CO 80014 store. The costume was ripped and because of their “no try-on” policy I was not able to see the damage or try it on. I immediately returned to the store to request to return or exchange. Upon, my request, I was rudely informed that a return or exchange was not possible and due to their policy. I was shocked to observe the staffs' disregard to my complaint and their lack of advice or help, the salesperson was rude and outright hurtful. I NOT recommend purchasing a costume from Halloween City, other store offer exchanges or returns and frankly cheaper or at least competitively priced.

Terrible people, terrible service!

I went to Halloween city and spent over $150. But I never received all of my kids costumes and accessories. I called them and asked did anyone turn in a bag or was a bag left. They told me no, and hung up. I checked over my receipt and found that two items were rung up twice. So not only did I not receive my items, I was double charged for items I did not even receive. I called back and asked to speak to a manager and told him what happened. He told me it was my fault for not making sure I had all of my bags. He laughed and hung up on me. I'm out of money and the 1 800 number is a joke. You can't even talk to a real person. I will never do business with this company again! Thanks for the bad experience!
