AI Highlights
  • - 8am 5/17/17 A/C repair; car back by 11:30 after ~3.5 hours.
  • - Fan unplugged; $1,033.70 quote; check engine light; Hall should pay.

Went in at Hall Chrysler Dodge, Jeep service on 5/17/17 to get my air conditioner in my 2007 PT Cruiser repaired, coolant/freon whatever at my 8am appointment. They brought my car to me at 11:30 -3 1/2 hours later with an estimate of needing $1,033.70 worth of service.

The major problem wad to replace the engine cooling fan. I called Hall &asked to speak to the service manager. Because my check engine light had come on and since I have had this car/check engine light had NEVER come on. I had not gotten home.

The repair shop manager told me to come back to the shop. I took my car slowly to another car repair shop. Well, after the mechanic looked the car over he told me the engine cooling fan was unplugged and if some had worked on my car previously. I told him I just left the dealership.

You can see from the repair shop comments that the plug was deliberately left unplugged or...neglected to plug it back in. I have the statement from the shop that repaired my car air conditioner. And he said call him. He stands behind his work.

My complaint is my car would have been seriously damaged and Hall should pay for the repair which they did not do....and a quote for $1,033.70 was outrageous. And the biggest recommendation was to replace the fan!
