Haley Toyota
Run away
Absolute shell game dealer. All the old tactics.
Run far, run fast. The deal started nicely but soon the game began. Sign this, sign that. Buy today?
Let me speak to the manager. I must give them credit they have a smooth operation. They saw my wife coming and took full advantage of her. This dealership really answers the question, why you should never buy from a new car dealer.
the idea is to squeeze each customer to the max because another will come through the door.
All in all an expensive lesson learned. I urge you to steer clear of this consumer trap.
Most Expensive Fix Recommended for Misdiagnosed Heater Issue
My Lexus did not have heat coming out of the vents. I explained that the A/C was working fine and that there were no leaks.
After an hour of checking it out the technician asks how new was the water pump and also checked the coolant. Suddenly the diagnosis is that it was it the heater core. I suggested it could be the servo motor/blend doors. He says no it is the heater core and the price would be $1594 and that they had to order the part from Lexus and if I wanted them to perform this service to just bring it back.
I went to an independent dealer. He did not believe it was the core on my initial description. He flushes the system and boom I have heat. Cost 90$.
That is a big difference to say the least. Why didn't Haley try this first before automatically recommending the most expensive fix ?
I would hate to think that just because it was a Lexus that they saw this as "easy money". It appeared I was the last customer and I can understand fatigue but it was no excuse not to exhaust ALL possibilities.
Racial Comments during service
I have been taking my car to Haley Toyota for the last few years. Until recently I have noticed a huge staff changeover and very rude advisors.
I was brousing the parts departments weathertech accessories while I was waiting for my service advisor to speak with the manager with regards to my repairs and he then said to the advisor, quote, "Let that *** ni**** pay for the repairs i am not helping them".
I just had brakes installed and they were beginning to vibrate again after 2 weeks, turns out I needed a caliper. $478 later I will never go there again and I also contacted the BBB and Toyota Headquarters.
Haley Toyota
I was orginally an unhappy consumer who purchased a vehicle from Haley Toyota in May of this year. They didn't want to honor my warranty agreement that was given to me until July of this year.
After posting my complaint to the site, they decided to correct my concern with the car. However, I still have minor concerns that need to be addressed by them that will make me a satisfied consumer. They did try to correct the bulk of the concern.
Repost from orginal complaint. Still have a littl work to go to make things squire.

Not honnor agreement of care purchase
Haley Toyota of Richmond VA is going down the drain for servicing consumers when purchasing a used vehicle. I just brought a vehicle from them less then 2 months ago and I have taken it back three time due to unresolved concerns of them not looking the vehicle over properly before I purchased it.
Took vehicle back the first time for hidden stains in back pocket of seat and cig lighter not working (need for cell usage), second time molding lifting around window- they didn't honor and third time a/c not working properly still not honoring. This is wrong totally.
Did not do a tire rotation
I took my 4 Runner in to Haley Toyota on Midlothian Tpk in Richmond, VA for a 30K mile service and alignment, which costs $477 (no repairs) supposedly with my coupon (don't know if they actually applied it or not). I marked my tires as I always do, and when I got home, I realized they had not rotated my tires.
I called them and they said the mechanic didn't feel it was necessary to rotate because of the wear and cupping on the back tires (whch are less than 1 year old, b.t.w.). This is more reason to rotate them! They said they took the tires off and balanced them, however, but the air in all 4 tires was 10 lbs. under the recommended 45 lbs.
Also, there is a split in one of the rear tires. If they had looked at or touched my tires, wouldn't they have notified me of this? (A state inspection was also done) I feel if they didn't rotate them and check the air, then they probably weren't balanced either.
I'm also wondering what else wasn't done: oil change, etc.
