The stylist in the Hoover Al office shaved my head and glued a full headpiece to my scalp. Hair Club recomends you wash your hair about every 2 or 3 days. Everytime you get it wet you are suppose to apply a scalp cleanser called "Alive". This is a antiseptic used to...

Alive is NOT an antiseptic at all, it is an enzyme solution. I wash my scalp every day, if you have an oily scalp, you have to. if you ask your stylist to wash your scalp more than once or twice, they will so your scalp does not itch.

Hair Club in Tuscaloosa, Alabama - Scammed Me, and Terrible Customer Service.

In the consultation, They told me that the product would be applied strand by strand and blended into my natural hair. When I got there for my "Big Day", they shaved all my hair off, and came out with this wig, dripping water from it all over me. I was horrified. They have your money at that point, when you start complaining, they no longer want to deal with you. I'm going to do everything in my power to get the word out there about Hair Club shady business practices, and expose them for the crooks they really are.

I'm in South Florida and my hairdresser will order, and set a custom piece, color matched and all for just $200. Her pieces last 6 months or more with good care and she only charges $40 to reset,re-color match, style, etc.; which is needed for me every 3 weeks.

She gets her pieces from a manufacturer in China and is still able to make a profit.

Hair club sounds like a major ripoff. If you're in So Florida check out aaahhsomehair.com

Thank you for the information. I did not know about the required head shaving.

I checked around and others said the same thing. No Hair Club for me.

Hair Club in Dallas, Texas - REFUND not received in timely manner

After giving HCFM Dallas a $500.00 deposit, I was informed I could not wear any topical products by my doctor. I immediately informed my sales person, who told me I needed a doctors note to get my refund. I emailed (2/10/2012) the doctors letter to the sales person. A week or more later she informed me I needed to sign some paper work, again she took her own sweet time to email me the form. On 3/10/2012, she claimed she sent it to its designated place. Looking at three months and no money. I do not recommend this place to give your money to. SCAM

Hair Club

I'd just like to say for those of you who have fallen for some jackasses' spiel on the phone - they have no clue what the *** they are talking about -they have most likely been put through a little customer service class & tell you what the company wants them to tell you! Guess it beats working at Mickey D's or Burger King (least you don't go home smelling like grease!) Ok wow now they want me to post one hundred freaking words - how *** is that? Ok so my birds are in their cages and covered up for the night.

This company was pretty much a joke. I went in for the free consultation where they convinced me I am at 'the perfect time' to start the treatments because I am thinning and haven't lost a whole lot so it would be more successful for me then those with more hair loss....

My son just got ripped off by The Hair Club. They never told him a word about having to pay another $264 a month after signing the initial contract amount.

Now they are telling him he cannot get anymore product or service if he doesn't join "the club" which means the piece is totally useless to him now.

They are a deceitful company and need to be investigated and shut down. Their business practices are nothing short of unethical.

Hair Club NYC is A Joke

I had an appointment last week and it was a complete JOKE. They try and act so nice but they are so condescending and make you feel that if you do not sign up with them your life is over. They take pictures of your hair and scalp and totally exaggerate the problem by putting it up on this screen. Who knows if it is really even real pictures of you even. They are so slimy and try every single high pressure sales tactic in the book. When I said I wanted to think it over they didn't like that at all. If your product is so good why not let your customers think it over and then decide. I have very slight thinning but they make it sound like I will be fully bald tomorrow if I don't sign up right then and there for $3000 a year. When they showed me the list of products one of them was Minoxidil which you can buy for only a few hundred dollars a year if that. I bet if a person with absolutely no thininng went in they would tell them the same bs just for them to sign up because all they care about is getting you money. Stay far far away from them and go to a medical doctor.

Hair Club for men treats employees and clients very poorly

I can tell you honestly this is much of what is wrong with big business/corporations they just care about the numbers. Literally they just fired yet another manager of the Glendale center because he did not hit his "numbers" ok thats what business is all about right? Wrong hair loss is devastating, wether its children women men for what ever reason Alopecia, male pattern loss lupus pregnancy. This is a personal matter and should be treated with kindness compassion and not pressuring clients to commit to a yearly contract that is the equivalent to a car lease. If you are a member please look into other more personal places. My husband was a memeber for 5 years couldn't afford went to Design X in burbank and the worked with his budget did not force him into a contract and treated him like a human being. please contact them

Sorry for what you went through. I used to work there as a consultant with the new manager Raquel until I got fired for "lack of performance" after making s formal complaint against her for physically threatening me, deliberately poking fun of clients with physical disabilities (zoo sting mockery photos if the in the office)- yes, that did actually happen, endangering workers' safety, intimidation, fraud, not completing payroll accurately and on time, and falsifying my business review documents.

She will pay for her bad karma.

I hate that place. The WORST person I've ever known

I agree with Carolejn. I use to work there and it is all about money and numbers.

I have since went out on my own and I work with people some want to replace there hair a lot some can make one last up to a year. It is a good product especially for women with hairloss much better than wearing a wig.

I would suggest you find a local person doing business rather than a corporation. The small business owner will be more caring to your personal needs.

@kim

I too used to work for that unethical company! I was heart broken when I quit because I truly adored my clients and they adored me as well, but I couldn't take another day in that place so I left!!!!

I couldn't stay and watch them pressure clients into upgrading and selling 24 hrs a day. They do not care about no one ONLY SELLING products and UPGRADING all day every day! I went into the hair business because I love all things hair and giving people back their self confidence which the Hair club preys on.

They bank on the fact that you are at your wits end and you will do just about anything to get some hair. They are trained to be nice at first then they *** your !ss later!!!! They don't care about you the client and that's a fact!I can't tell you how happy that i'm out of there and helping people on my own terms which doesn't include robbing them blind!

Hair Club in Chicago, Illinois - Scammers at the Club

First, I want to say sorry to all the people who experienced bad deals at Hair Club. Yes, you are being scammed!!!! They treat you a certain way based on the color of your skin. You get a better deal based on the color of your skin. They will run your credit and not tell you. If you cancel in the right amount of time they will hold your refund. When you call your call will never be returned. The hair is cheap and often not your own. Go to Bosley!!!! buyer be aware. You will get no results your hair will come out
