Complaint - Service Delay of Defective Water Softener
Hi There,
My water softener was installed on Dec 23, 2019 by your dealer Water Warehouse, Elk Grove, CA 95758. I started seeing the black water deposits in cold tap water and toilet flushes and flush tanks in the first use of morning.
This contaminated water was nothing but leached with leaking carbon media from the water softener itself.
I am seeing the carbon deposits in my salt chamber also.
I reported this to your dealer and expected that this issue would be promptly acknowledged, analyzed and fixed immediately as promised to me by your dealer representative Aaron Kurukhi while selling and making big promises like 1 hour service. It took, to my surprise, months for your dealer even to acknowledge that this is the carbon media leaking in the water despite me guiding him that this is carbon leakage from softener evidenced by the color of water, giving him the water sample, sending pictures, exchange of many texts and phone calls. During all these times, there was all the irrelevant, unnecessary excuses like my pipeline has issues, hot water system has issue which were not even relevant to this problem. It wasted many months and we continued using the contaminated water which might have caused so many damages to our health or appliances by now.
This black colored water was from cold taps/toilet tanks. My house is constructed in 2003, pretty new to doubt any pipeline but my issues was kept prolonged unnecessary just to find an excuse that warranty is not honored.
In my opinion your dealer representative Aaron Kurukhi has done a very bad or lousy job in installing that system. I even doubt now if he installed the genuine or working system to my house. I must be unnoticedly using this carbon contaminated water throughout in my house including appliances.
It is a pretty long time to suffer, therefore, I want the complete replacement of this system on immediate basis. I am right now, using unfiltered water as your dealer has taken out all the carbon media out of it, powered off the system and set it on bypass.
I am on a very thin line on losing my credibility on Hague. I want to let you know that I had almost bought the water system from Costco but Aaron tricked me into buying this system after making great promises on its performance, quality and service.
I am now regretting that decision of mine. I had given my five star rating to this system on yelp which I am planning to revert with all this feedback.
I am in no situation to recommend this system to anyone unless this defective system is replaced.

Consider alternatives.
Looked at reviews on local dealer. There were numerous complaints.
I called the manufactuer, Hague to inquire about other resources. They referred me back to local dealer. I voiced my concerns over the number of negative comments. "Well, they have been in business since 1994 sir and I doubt if they would still be around if they were that bad.
Anyone can post something negative to the internet".
I will replace the unit with someone who is more interested in addressing my concerns in a more professional approach.
Furthermore, I can't find the filters listed through any source including Hague's website. The product was installed in 2011.

This company is TERRIBLE!!
Had a whole house Hague water system installed in 2010 (costing over $5,000!) and have yet to get good quality water ... it's now 2015!!
My ph is still 5.5, my pipes are being ruined one by one, on my 3rd hot water heater, etc. Have had numerous service calls but they just charge me more money and the system continues not to work! No refunds, terrible service, stuck with a system that doesn't work!
ps. After the first year of numerous service calls, they did finally realize the system was hooked up backwards but still doesn't work even after being hooked up correctly!

My friend works with a contractor that has his own business, he stated to my friend that Hague Quality Water / Northern Plumbing/ KES Equipment and Sales have the worst reputation in town. They took advantage of this elderly lady and she purchased a water softening unit that she probably never needed.
Why do companies like this take advantage of elderly people? Everyone wake up and smell the coffee.
My wife and I would never take advantage of the elderly.

OMG I am having a similar experience, at least you did not get ripped off by your dealer, I paid over 6500 and my water is yellow. After many attempts to resolve it was only clear for a couple of days. Back to yellow again.
