- Haggens can't process my UHC insurance card.
- Today at 8am, the insurance card didn't work on 36th Ave, Bellingham, WA.
- Fred Meyer gets my business.
2nd time haggens store doesn't work for my insurance card. This store is the only one that gives problems.
Happened today at 8am on 36th Ave Bellingham Washington. Clerk can't figure ANYTHING out. Fred Meyer ends up getting my business!
If anyone is using UHC card (insurance)..dont!! It doesnt work right at haggens!!

On 5 ,18, 2023 checker was quit rude. Rate is only for this day.
- Used a healthy food card and checked balance.
- Cashier said balance wasn't enough, causing embarrassment; a later customer offered to pay.
I was just buying few items on my healthy food card..half the time I call just before I go up to cashier. So I won't be embarrest of going over.balance,which at haggens almost aways is less.
For some reason. Once again checker takes card scams it tell me balance . Says not enough. I'm like I just checked it.
My son was with me im66, agreed says she just did. Cashier makes the comment snitty voice. Says this is what I came back here for. I nicely respond let's take off items till low enough to pay for.
Imbarresing me even more. The next customer say I will pay that balance for her. Cashier like well it 30.oo are u sure snitty. Very nice girl say yes I know that.
I was so humiliated. Of course was say no that's ok nonono. She did it anyway.. a very blessed moment.
I have to go their it's only place in town. Not the first time. I was cashier for 25 yrs. I would never disrespect someone like that..
she had people in line not long but they heard it. Where is elder respect at also.

Preferred solution: I was retail grocery for 22 yrs. Maybe a reminder I know it's hard at times. Work on empathy, u are impportento your customer. Nice goes a long way.
User's recommendation: I don't put the whole store down no one else's fault. I've been going their for over12 yrs. To get my meds as well. Just this last year new cashier's. They get paid alot more then I in my time. Need courtesy classes.

- Haggen bought several Western WA Albertson's stores.
- He closed the Bremerton store, leaving staff without jobs.
Haggen of Haggen Grocery store in Upper Western Washington, is an example of a truly inconsiderate greedy man! He bought several of the Western Wa. Albertson's store's in a swift and unjust manner! Leaving some of the staff at that store suddenly out of a job. He bought the Bremerton store without any consideration for the demograohics of that area-a majority of the people are at or below poverty level, with Alberton's being the only store in their central area.
Now he decided to sell that store and completely close the door. The cashiers and checkers have become almost like family. They are a great hatd working team and nice to be around. But now they are all without a job. One man gave his life to Albertson's -30 sum years and now stands to lose any retirement benefits.
Mr. Haggan should have considered all of these things but he didn't care . All he saw was the $. You should be ashamed Mr.Haggan.
I advise everyone to Boycott his stores and pass this on if you will.
