Great market research company
I filled out this surveymonkey survey from a link on facebook. Low and behold, this angelic voice called me on the phone to sign me up for a current events group discussion.
I thought "this could be fun!" This angel signed me up, sent the info and a few days later, it was time to do the group meeting. I logged on and, was told they had enough people for the group, BUT, I would still get paid.
Although I had plenty to say about current events, if you know what I mean, I thought, *** I got the rest of my evening to myself and I just made $125 bucks. Thank you angelic Shannon, please call me again.
Recruiters are Honest and Humble
I participated in a technology focus group hosted by Hagen Sinclair(2018). The recruiters were very humble during their screening call. They explained me the purpose of the focus group and asked if I were comfortable participating.
One day before the survey they sent a reminder and also sent me precise parking instructions.
The venue of the focus group was clean and tidy and snacks were served too. The moderator of the focus study were professional and courteous. The focus group discussion started and concluded on time. They compensated me as for what they had promised. Personally, I didn't experience anything negative that I'd complain.
I enjoyed the focus study and will participate in the future studies hosted by Hagen Sinclair Research.

Hagen Sinclair - Not Legit
This place is NOT legit. Someone called me from her personal number multiple times and left me multiple emails and voicemails, after I said I wasn't interested in the study.
Person was rude. If you want a legit focus group, try Nichols Research.

NO PAYMENT RECEIVED- 10 months later...
I participated in a last minute research study in San Francisco on January 15, 2014. It is now October 8, 2014 and I still have no received any payment.
This company is completely unprofessional. I participated for the experience because I love shopping- which was what the study was about and it was a nice perk to make a little extra cash. However I find it very inconsiderate that I took time out of my busy schedule and don't get compensated for it.
I have sent many email reminders and inquiries, each time they said it was passed to their manager yet I haven't received anything? 10 months later and still nothing..
Preferred solution: Full refund
Cynthia Cross Hagen, C.E.O.
I was thourally screened on the phone following a screening email,by an employee at Hagen/Sinclair Reseach Recruiting, in Chico, CA- a market research company, to do an online, webcam, live usability study, asking for my opinion on a new website.
I afterward had to take pictures of my browser and email them in,Ifaxed agreements to do the study, after all of my computer knowledge questions being answered to there liking.
A week later, I got a call from tech support and made sure my computer was up to par for the study, tested out many links, even downloaded what I would need for the study, while live, and on the phone with them, and everything was ready and good.
I figured this was way to much time and work for $100 bucks-but hey, I gave my word.
Right after tech check, I begin the study with moderater live. After answering questions and going to the Firefox browser, like he asked, and showing him my homepage and showing the Firefox symbal-he interrupts and says that he is dismissing me and that now he can see that what we need to download,is not compatible with my computer after all!
I spent more than enough time preparing for this study, and answering all there technical questions accuratly, and Cynthia Cross Hagen, refused to pay me the $100 bucks!
It is not my fault that either her screener did not ask me the right questions, or that they didn't know what her client needed beforehand, or her client just didn't want to finish the study for his own reasons.
Cynthia Hagen refuses to acknowlege responsibility, or the fact that I was a willing participant, and already began the study, and put much time preparing.
She is instead saying, that I misrepresented myself! How did I do that, if I answered all her screeners questions correctly?(I didn't know I was psychic?)
Cynthia Cross Hagen is patronizing, rude, and cheap- and she is in the WRONG business.Marketing research companies are warm, friendly and appreciative of people willing to spend there time to offer there opinion.
(Doesn't sound like she does much for businesses who hire her for her services, either).
Cynthia Hagen has since, refused to pay me my $100 compensation(really? cheap me out of $100!? come ON!)
If you are invited to participate in a focus group by Hagen/Sinclair Research Recruiting in Chico, CA..beware you might not be paid after allot of work for nothing.

The respondent above was recruited to complete a telephone and webcam interview about technology because she told our recruiter that she enjoyed writing software such as programs, websites and add-ons. When our research client proceeded to interview her, she demonstrated no such knowledge, and the interview was cut short. Because my client was not able to get the information they were looking for, the terms of her participation in the study were not met, and neither she nor Hagen/Sinclair will be paid for her interview.
When the respondent wrote me about the terminated interview and complained that my client had been rude to her, I cited the exact words she had agreed described herself and explained that we were all disappointed that she did not have the knowledge and experience she had claimed to have. I added that I would reconsider this if she provided a description or evidence of the software, websites or programs she had created.
The respondent sidestepped this offer and the issue of having misrepresented her programming experience, repeatedly demanding payment simply for having gone through our screening and logistics processes.
Hagen/Sinclair's recruiters create hundreds of positive recruiting experiences each month and are very warm and welcoming to those who understand our purposes and protocols. We also pay them nicely. However, neither we nor our clients can afford to pay respondents who are not who they say they are.

After doing all that and you not paying me..why in the WORLD would I do anymore work for you, so I can MAYBE be compensated.
Don't get me wrong people, there are TONS of other market research companies who are friendly market research companies who do not treat people like this.
