Disposable machines
- - VF2 CNC is obsolete; board fails, replacement boards not sold.
- - Upgrade costs 20k if not repaired, 40k if repaired.
- - The machine is worth around 35k.
I have a VF2 CNC that I bought around 10 years ago, and the company decided that now is obsolete, a board is malfuntionning, they have it in existance, a engineer within the company innocently or honestly, told me, but they wont sell it to me, because the upgrade is required, you don't have any option.
The general manager confirmed the company have those boards, but they don't want to sell them anymore.
They demand a 20,000 USD upgrade if you didn't tried to repair it, 40,000 USD!!! if you do, when the machine probably worth 35,000 USD, making it completely worthless.
You spend more than a 100,000 USD on a machine, trusting the company, and they don't even care if your machine is obsolete or worthless. A friend who have one also told me that they have counters to fail after a certain amount of use.
DON'T BUY HAAS!!! DISPOSABLE MACHINES!!! HAASSUCKS!!!
