Paid Subscriber
I'm one of the few that actually pays for the Gwinnett Daily newspaper as I enjoy "local" information for my area.
I've paid for this year (Oct 2018-Sept 2019) in advance. That appears to be a problem for me as I've been missed the last 6 deliveries.
Multiple emails sent, get the same response. Never corrected.
Fed up! Absolutely my fault for paying for the year in advance. I'm requesting my money back in full.
Sent a note to Thom Bell......VP circulation. I doubt anything will be done to resolve the issue.
They went from every day to only 3 days a week and still can't deliver.
Anyone else have this problem?
Sudden Delivery Halted
I have been receiving the GW Daily Post for over 11 years as a comp from Comcast. The last paper delivered was September 30, 2018 .
No one has notified me why my paper delivery has been suspended.
Very unprofessional on the part of GW Daily Post. Is this the case for all residents in the Barrow County area that was receiving the GW Daily Post.
Non deivery of paper for 2 weeks, then delivery for a couple
It’s like a suprise when it gets delivered, if Charter is paying for the subscription then they are getting scammed by the GDP. Where do the papers go??? Something is definitely wrong here and has been that way for years!
Poor del service
Sent payment for paid subscription GDP called and said they were refunding my mobey because I Had a comp subsc from my cable co. Had not been getting that comp paper.
Lady had it delivered for 3 weeks then nothing.
Carrier is getting paid to deliver but not delivering. Duh!
Irregular a/o Zero delivery
I have been receiving the Gw Daily for a long time (have been a Charter subscriber for years!) and it has always been delivered w/o fail on its designated issue days. In other words, I have been extremely pleased with it for a long time.
Unfortunately, just in the last few weeks, the delivery specifically to my address - 1573 Glencest Trl., Lawrenceville, GA 30043 - is quite often missing, or, as today, my neighbor directly across gets 2 issues while I get zero. Since this has been going on now for several weeks, I am very concerned that you may have a new person on my address route who is obviously far not as conscientious about his delivery routine as I have been used to so far. Please, check into this and have it rectified.

They don't pay.
My sons and three of their friends recently worked at the warehouse.
They worked several times and every time they get paid biweekly. It's always a paper chase. They are always told ' we will have your check friday'. Then it gets changed to ' come back Wednesday'.
It has been a month now. They've lost paperwork three times on both of my sons. And three of their friends. This makes EVERY PERSON WE KNOW that works for this place .
EVERY SINGLE ONE. Hasn't been paid properly because they've had paperwork lost . And this is a newspaper hah. All the boys quit because they couldn't deal with the disorganization of this workplace.
Not only do they not get paid and have their paperwork misplaced, they are also told to come in at one time and made to wait three hours later .
Gwinnett Daily Post has terrible customer service....
Gwinnett Daily Post has the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. My newspapers were delivered one time out of the week and now it's not even delivered at all.
When I called several times to complain the circulation dept. kept saying they would have a newspaper delivered and it never was. I emailed the director of circulation, Thom Bell, and never got back to me. This newspaper gets paid to provide service and they don't provide it to the community and the worst part of all is that they ignore their customers.
Makes think how internet is taking over paper news. Gwinnett Daily Post provides terrible service!
How does Gwinnett Daily Post get away with it?
How long will their advertisers keep using the Gwinnett Daily Post when the Post puts more than one copy of the Advertiser's brochure in each paper that the Post delivers. We get as many as 3 copies of advertisements in our copy of the paper several days a week.
The Post is probably charging the Advertiser per copy.
It is cheaper to put extra copies of the advertisement in each paper to get extra revenue per delivery at less cost.
If the Post fails to leave a paper one day and we call about it, they do not bring a copy of the paper for that day, they just leave 2 copies of the next days paper. What benefit to anyone is that?
Practically impossible to stop newspaper delivery
After receiving the Gwinnett Daily Post for six years and never paying or ordering a subscription, I made five requests between February and April 2013 via email to their circulation department have the newspaper delivery stopped. Each time I was told that the subscription was cancelled, yet I continued to receive the newspaper in my driveway several times/week.
GDP customer service told me that I had a complimentary subscription from my cable company. Each time I emailed customer service I reiterated that, complimentary or not, I wanted delivery stopped delivery immediately. For two months customer service replied to each email and said they had "filed a complaint with the Route Manager," yet the newspaper continued to be delivered. I even called the "cable" companies I've been affiliated with (Charter Internet, AT&T, and DirecTV) and each of their customer service departments claim that they don't offer complimentary subscriptions to any newspaper.
Taking matters into my own hands out of frustration, I sat in my front yard this morning from 3:00am until the delivery driver came at 4:30am and I politely told him that I no longer wanted the paper. He apologized and said that no one told him that I had previously requested delivery to stop. There is obviously a breakdown in communication at this newspaper and there is no accountability system in place between the circulation department and their delivery drivers. All it would have taken was one phone call to this driver and he would have complied with the request.
After informing GDP customer service of how I resolved the problem by simply talking to the driver in the dead of night, their reply was "Unfortunately, we do not have any direct contact with the carriers." THAT'S THE PROBLEM! How do you expect to provide any kind of service to your customers if you don't have contact with the people delivering your product?
Well, good luck if you ever want to get your paid or "complimentary" subscription stopped because the request never reaches the delivery person. You'll have to take a crossword book into your front yard one night to pass the time until the delivery person shows up and then relay the request directly.

Yes exactly same problem. 7 days to 5 days to 3 days within 3years plus Annual rate gone up 3x within 3 years was $39 to now $104 Plus there is no Gwinnett Organ that used to come on Thursday as there is no more Thursday delivary. Does GDP think we readers are a joke or should their management be fired...
