Media player frozen cable tv not working.

Media player frozen and tv therefore not working at all. Time of 1043 frozen on face of media player. I submitted this info but for some reason it kicked my complaint facts out so I never got to talk to customer service.

Terrible customer service

This has been a terrible company to work with so far. We had them come set up internet in February, and they laid the line around the outside fence of the backyard.

When they came to bury the cable, we were told no one needed to be there. They buried the line in a different location (through the backyard where an addition was about to added). They refused to move the line, even though it was never communicated that it would be buried in a new location. They said we would have to pay for it.

Now our service has been turned off because they are saying we have to hire a third party to do a new conduit and that the one they laid was only temporary. I have spoken with many different supervisors and no one is taking care of this issue or accepting blame.

They literally just turned off our service and are telling us it's not their problem. Terrible company.

Was put on hold 2 hours and 20 minutes trying get a billing issue fixed. I paid through their new app and now theyre saying that I never paid my bill. Ive read many reviews with the same complaint.

Poor service

Just got off the phone with GVTC 24 hour internet service(name is a joke). I have been with the company since 1987(35 years). They couldnt help me unless I gave them my customer number. In 35 years I have never been given a customer number, only an account number which I gave them. Today in the mail I received a late bill notice saying my phone would be disconnected in 6 days. My bill has been automatically paid for the past 35 years! Now I cant get into my account to see why my automatic payment failed to pay, Im so frustrated.

Emails won't download to my iPhone

Returned equipment as instructed by GVTC. Arrived at GVTC office and no one would open the door.

Knocked on door until a lady came out and told me and one other person to leave the boxed equipment on the porch and someone would get. It later. We wanted our returned equipment to be counted and a receipt for our records. Lady laughed and told us everyone leaves it on porch.

We paid our last bill and then received a credit on our last statement for $206.00.

Called to get our credit but GVTC said it would take 2 to 3 months to receive it.

GVTC rep said thats the way it is and there is nothing we can do to get our money any quicker.

GVTC doesnt give a damn about customer service. Pay your payment late and they cut off your service but if they owe you money you will get it if and when they decide to refund it.

Customer Service rating is a minus 10horrible people and company!!!

Substandard service

I switched from ADT security to GVTC. I went from a landline to wireless. I like the app to access the system via my cell phone. What I dont like is that within 3 days of install my keypad started beeping due to a weak signal from home to monitoring station. A tech came when the key pad beeped again on day 4 and after trouble shooting for an hour called his supervisor and found out there was a problem with the keypad being defective so he replaced it. Day 5 and the key pad beeps again! Seriously! About ready to rip it out of the wall! Another tech is coming tomorrow! Regretting ever switching from ADT!

Upgraded service is not working

we had our service upgraded yesterday to the 250 and now we have horrible service.......the service man, a big, fat rude guy, said we had to use their modem and couldnt use the good one we purchased......they said theirs would reach all over our property but it dosent..........in fact you can walk our the door and it drops from 200 to 50 immediately......a friend had their service upgraded and they didnt have to use GVTC modem but yet we were told we had to...........GVTC is a bunch of crooks that has no competition and treats their customers as such.........If any other provider ever comes to this area GVTC will close their doors..............

Monopolizing

The company monopolies there customers any chance they get. I just needed internet for playing video games with friends and family on the PlayStation 4. The technical support team directed me over to customer support because they couldn't give me a static IP address. Turns out it's mainly do to being charged an extra $15.00+ a month to have someone simply type in an ip address ie: 192.168.0.101 How hard is that?
