Steven Kueny is not a bad person. Gunite Pools went down hill when Chris Stephens stole so much from the company it forced Steven Kueny, the owner, to file bankruptcy.

Chris Stephens should never have been able to get away with what he did and completely destroy the lives of a family and their business and then go around and act like he was the victim. Steven Kueny had a very good name and hundreds of very very happy clients before Chris Stephens ruined it.

My name is John Oliver. I am the owner of Atlantis Pools & Spas Inc.

in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This company (Gunite Pools of Tulsa) and it's principals had/have no business building pools. They must be very good story tellers! We have been in business in Tulsa for 37 years, none of the 19 years {{Redacted}} or 20 years {{Redacted}} experience they claim.

EXPERIENCE? ADD UP ALL OF OUR EMPLOYEES AND WE HAVE 300 YEARS + EXPERIENCE! Their company was in business for 4 years when it went out of business. I am sorry for your troubles but you really should have called a professional pool company.

Not a con-artist! We lost a lot of business to them. Why? Because people do not do there homework.

Because their price was to good to pass up? My company (Atlantis Pools & Spas Inc,) has finished every pool we ever started 1100+. Just be smart in the future and hire an expert next time. Also they already have started a new company!

Actually two new companies. What do those customers feel like that didn't get their pools completed? Paid way more than they got for a half finished pool?

If you buy a pool from these new companies then you are exploiting all the people that didn't get their pools finished. Also you are STUPID if you do after what they have done to innocent people in Tulsa!

John, your comments toward me are actually rude since you have no idea the homework I did before hiring Gunite Pools of Tulsa. While I agree they are con-artists, there were no negative reviews of them when I hired them, they represented that Larry had years of experience with Vivian Pools and they responded to a detailed interview before I hired them.

I called every company I could find listed in the Tulsa area and only received call backs from 3 companies over a 1 month period of time. I left 2 messages with your company. I had a substantial budget for a pool and some hardscaping and Baker pools gave me an estimate for a pool twice the size I needed and $50k over my budget. Gunite Pools wasn't the cheapest (as you assume) but they were responsive and I felt that while they were a newer company, they had the right stuff because they were responsive and the other company who gave me a quote was building a pool for a colleague who was having problems with that company.

Once the process started, I realized my error but once the pool was operational, I explicitly shared my experience in detail on every review site I could find so that others wouldn't have to endure what I had to endure. I contacted Yelp trying to get their self serving reviews removed. I refused to remove my review even though they agreed to repair a leak if I removed my review. I felt it was important that others see the review.

I learned that Angie's list didn't post my review because they feel that "Angie's list users are coming to their site looking for positive reviews".. YES, REALLY.

All that, and I am not calling those who hired them after I posted my review in early 2015, Stupid or assuming they didn't do their homework. If you really want to help people, why don't you post here what the names of the new companies are.

I am saying that these men have started new companies and are selling pools again to unwitting consumers.I saying if you buy a pool from these guys "now" after they cheated customers and didn't finish pools then you are "stupid."I am just tired of doing everything right and people like them not only get away with not finishing pools.

They get to do it all over again (cheat People).If you want to help stop these guys please post a review on the "Gunite Pools of Tulsa" BBB so their A+ rating will come down. I don't understand why it is not an "F" after their bankruptcy.

The owner of Atlantis obviously has no integrity. If he’s going to get on here and bash another pool company without knowing all the facts he’s not a company I would want to hire.

Atlantis has had plenty of their own problems in town.

Just ask any reputable builder! There’s a reason no builders in town will work with him any longer.

I do not have any “issues” period. I am not on here to get work, I don’t need it. I have no history of working with home builders. So that is a lie.

And Gunite Pools of Tulsa didn’t finish all their pools. That is another flat out lie. Who do you think these people called to come give an estimate to finish their pools? I looked at several of their unfinished pools.

Now it appears Chris Stephens has closed his new company! Just like I said he would. I had a homeowner come to my office today 4/11/19 looking for a part for his pool. He said Chis closed down and he can’t get ahold of him.

I have the highest integrity of any pool builder in Tulsa!

I have never filed for bankruptcy so please remove this slanderous review immediately. Steven Kueny the current owner of Gunite Pools of Tulsa is the person filing for bankruptcy. I left that business in every capacity several months before he decided to file bankruptcy.
