This product is a total ripoff, I bought the gold plan to cover for wear and tear spills damage etc.. My sofa stitching began to fail in the center section cushion and on the sofa back from normal wear and tear the rep at guardsman told me it was a manufacturers defect after owning the sofa for 2.5 years, this is clearly wear and tear and they are refusing to cover it. Guardsman, Good technitions poor customer service. GM over charged me for the job, still trying to get my money back. 10 phone calls and promises all will be fixed ,2 months Now! They also kept trying to up the estimate the first tech gave me by telling me other techs estimates. I finally told them i wanted the first quote and that tech. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

I had the leather on a leather recliner tear in two places and they will not cover the repair. Total waist of money as when I was sold the contract I was told they would cover any damage to the leather for 5 years. After getting a run around I finally had a technician come out to inspect my sofa. His response to seeing it was "OMG!" the straps are shot. This gently and I mean gently used sofa (15 months) was not covered. The rude agent told me that it is a "wear issue" there was clearly no wear to the undersides of the cushions.
