Usually I love the guacamole, but I can always tell when different people make it. So your prices went up from 4.99 to 5.99, and the guacamole got worse! I used to tell people how good it was, until the last few months. First, please don't sell guacamole with entire hal...
Shaws - TERRIBLE NEW RECIPE
by PissedConsumer1087740 #1087740
I've enjoyed shaws guacamole for a while now, or should I say when it tasted very good and was only a fee ingredients. IT USED TO BE DAIRY FREE.
Who in their right mind would alter the recipe to include dairy in a dish that usually lacks any dairy, AND add it to a product that never had dairy before. It's a good think that I am a vegan and dairy free by choice, this could have hurt someone who was allergic.
Shaws needs to be intelligent and not add allergens in previously allergen free products. At the very least, they should have included a warning sticker that their new recipe contained dairy.
ACME Markets - Peas in their guacamole
by PissedConsumer929995 #9299952.3
Now it all makes sense. I just read an article about peas being used to make guacamole. I tried theirs twice. It was disgusting both times. The first time I returned it, and bought it incre more,,thinking it had a bad day. No, it was terrible then too.
I couldn't figure it out, there was a sort of nutty, chalky consistency. Then I read an article about unscrupulous shoots cutting their guacamole with peas, and the light build went off over my head. I hate Acme, and I hate it worse now.
Acme also regularly overcharges for, things, and I have caught mistakes numerous times and have even been given items free due to false pricing.
Also, their *** monopoly game was a joke. We played it zealously, and the ONLY think I ever won was a packet of pre-made Starkist Tuna with lemon and pepper. Worth 88 cents. It tasted okay, but whoopee.
Safeway - Pubes in guacamole
by PissedConsumer1033710 #1033710
Yesterday we bought a container of fresh made guacamole from the produce dept. We discovered that it was spoiled so we exchanged it today for another.
When we tried the new one, we found what looked like a pubic hair. As if this wasn't bad enough, my experience when returning yet again was the worse display of customer service I have ever experienced when attempting to speak with the manager. It was around 10pm at the Frank Lloyd/Rain Tree location in Scottsdale, AZ. I attempted to speak with the manager on duty.
Before I could even utter "I bought this guacamole today," he rudely told me "if you want to talk to me you need to follow me i'm helping someone else" and continued to walk away. I proceeded to follow him despite his gruffness. He then continued to walk past me a second time without even acknowledging my presence. Then he finally turned to a cashier, who was assisting other customers, to help me.
She was very receptive and apologetic about the guacamole and reassured me that a note would be left for the produce manager.
I have never experienced such rude customer service as I did with that male manager. I just wish I was able to give you his name.

This is a follow up to my prior post about guac. I went to customer service desk after telling them about my horrible guac. I was told go ahead and pic another 1. I asked her if I could open in front of her so she can see for herself the quality. Immediately soon...
