Grieco Ford Of Delray Beach - Overcharged me (double billed) and no response or action to...
Updated by user Dec 17, 2024

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Once it got escalated to the proper person they were extremely diligent to respond and rectify as best as possible. Issue is on my side of bank.

Original review Dec 15, 2024

Went into dealership to purchase extended warranty for my SUV. Agreed to put down $2000 on the policy, but for some reason the dealership computer adjusted this to $1999.99.

Went up front to the receptionist/cashier who seemed more receptionist than cashier. She kept asking the salesman to repeat he amount as all the 9's and .99 cents were confusing. I can understand that maybe the first 2 times, but it was more.

I was asked to put in my debit card but was told the transaction did not go through. So she entered it again, once again requesting clarification on the amount.

This time she informed me the charge went through and I left the dealership

When I got home I found out that the first charge did go through, but was incorrectly entered as $19,999,99. This was then followed by the correct charge of $1999.99.

First thing Friday morning I informed the sales person of the mistake. He requested screenshots of the transactions from my bank *which I immediately sent via email). I did not receive any return calls or emails informing me of the issue being resolved.

I called an left numerous messages that day with salesman and a manager at the dealer and still no responses

I continued calling and emailing the next day and still no response. This is $20K we are talking about and I would expect the dealership to resolve this immediately and keep me updated

As I do understand mistakes, this one should have been avoided. There is a big difference between saying 1999.99 and 19,999.99.

I don't think they had the right person acting as cashier. But the real failure here is with the dealership taking any immediate action to rectify their mistake, or at a minimum, keeping me informed so as to set expectations.

When’s to purchase a new F150 that was advertised on their web site. Upon meeting with the salesman he told me I wouldn’t qualify for many of the ford rebates.

I mean how many people are first responders, military and a recent college graduate at the same time. I knew this dealer tactic. I told him I understood and thanked him for his time. He asked me what price I would pay.

I told him , he wrote it down had me sign it and went to see the sales manager. He came back and said we had a deal. Long story short three hours later when I went to the finance office the agreed upon deal was $8500.00 higher.

They told me the agreed upon price was too low, it would be a loss to them and the agreed upon sales price that was in writing, verified by the salesman was a misunderstanding. Well I can assure you I’ll never go back there.

Very unprofessional service and lack of customer care

We decided to purchase a new in stock 2017 mustang, we got approved and they delivered the vehicle to us in pembroke pines, fist thing we noticed was 5 dents on the vehicle, two on the top, two on the side and one in the back, we asked for a reduction of price and they said no, they offer to fix it for us, after thinking about it and comparing prices and realizing they were not the lowest price on the same vehicle and why we should accept a new car that was damage and pay full price. we decided to pass, no one apologize for our incoveniance, it was grieco responsability to check the vehicle prior of delivery to the customer, instead they got mad and refuse to return our calls or respond to our email, to find out if they got additional car in or if the price has been reduced on the damage vehicle, now that dealers are getting the 2018 mustangs in.

abviously Grieco main concern is the sale, not customer service or try to satisfy the customer or be fair and make a decsion base on what happened and take responsability on their mistakes, bad way to established future customers or repeated customers.

we drove by 5 ford dealers to go to Grieco, I guess that dont mean nothing to the company, what matters is the sale and profit. sad thing if we would have purchase the vehicle if they have taken ownership of their mistake and in good faith reduced the vehicle.

LIFE TIME MEANS NOTHING TO FORD

bought a used SUV at DelRay Ford - now owned by Del Greigo Ford - after leaving the lot they put on new life time warrantied motor craft shocks/struts - as their sister AutoNation store in /ft Myers said this vehicle never should have been put on the road - its un safe!! Then replaced the front shocks versus driving back to Del Ray - an engine with 56,000 blew - come to find out the extended warranty sold as a Ford warranty was not!!

- upon a routine service at Pt Charlotte Ford - less than a year of highway use - they said the shocks are leaking - replace them - they are warrantied!! Alas - Ford said as I did not actually pay for them - there is no warranty -- I told them I paid $26,000 for the shocks and the truck was free -- PT Charlotte Ford - Don GasGrath - said if Del Griego send them the part # they will replace - now its - finger pointing - "its them not me"!!!
