Verified Reviewer | Scottsdale, ArizonaIncompetent service and poor customer support
DO NOT take your car (or your business) to Greulich - POOR QUALITY work and TERRIBLE CUSTOMER service. They charged approx.
$3700 to replace the particulate filter on my car. Their incompetent work (forgot a gasket and incorrect installation) resulted in having to pay over $5700 to the dealer to fix the damage. Greulich refused to cover the repair costs and their VP of "Customer Service" (John Jamison (480-694-****)) - was incredibly rude and dismissive (as was the staff at the Scottsdale Rd office). Mr.
Jamison basically told me that Greulich wrote their "terms of service" so that they aren't responsible for poor quality workmanship and he had no intention of compensating me for my costs. A few months ago, the diesel particulate filter regeneration error code kept reappearing on my Diesel Jeep. Greulich replaced the filter. About 3 weeks later during a road trip to Washington state, thick blue exhaust filled the engine compartment and car interior - essentially making the car unsafe and undrivable.
Fortunately a Jeep dealership was close by and we were able to leave the car. A few of the dealers' comments - " clamp was improperly installed", ""found no gasket", "damage caused at previous install to turbo outlet pipe". The dealer had to pull the engine to fix all the damage caused by Greulich. When asked by Greulich to pay for the repairs caused by their gross negligence and incompetence, they refused and instead they started blaming me.
They had the audacity to say I should have brought the car back to them to fix - despite the fact that it was 1500 miles away and undrivable.
They also claimed I should have called the 800 number on the back of the receipt - however, when you call that number they said they only cover claims for defective parts and not incompetent work. Greulich refused to take any responsibility for their shoddy work.
DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR BUSINESS.
- Incompetent work
- Poor customer service

Verified ReviewerAvoid Stores, they will try to scam you
Went in to the store in Fountain Hills for an oil change. I am fairly handy for simple stuff but its cheaper to go to service places than do it yourself generally (at the cost they try to tell you everything is wrong) and I had to work (Discount Tire just up the road). At work, I receive a call saying that my drain plug is stripped, it would not tighten in its spot. Over the first phone call, very few detail were given to me and the only way to fix this issue was to replace the entire oil pan, they would not try any other fix methods due to it being *** and they would be liable". I didn't bother getting a price for this initially and wanted to see other options but generally this fix would cost ~$750-850. Sun devil auto in Fountain Hills quoted $756. Anyways, I took the vehicle to sun devil so they would put in an oversized drain plug, which is generally a one use only just so I could have the car useable, but decided against it and wanted to take a look at it myself. Took the vehicle home, removed the stripped plug (which was leaking a good deal, obviously) and looked at everything. First of all, the plug was MISSING THE GASKET which is why it was stripped, since it was mad overtightened. Then I looked at the threads on the oil pan, they were completely mint, looked almost brand new no stripping or even much wear and tear. Ran over to the auto parts store, picked up a replacement drain plug and gasket for $6 and it completely solved the problem.
In addition to them trying to scam me out of several hundred dollars, it's quite obvious they lied to me about what was damaged since they said the entire thing was stripped, and the initial phone call I was only told that it was stripped when going back in. After going in, slightly upset, they told me that the tech said it was loose right away and before even doing anything else they tried to put it in and found that it would not tighten just keep spinning. Now if they are telling the truth, I would say it isn't their fault they just tried to make a quick buck off what happened, but I am suspicious. The drain plug was missing the gasket, the upper half of the threads on the bolt were stripped nearly smooth, and when I looked at it after they had replaced the filter which could indicate they went through with the oil change till putting it the bolt back in and then realizing it wouldn't tighten. There is no way to verify this, so I can't explicitly say that the bolt being stripped was their fault, but the entire thing was shady and I am suspicious that I was lied to.
The most infuriating part to me was they still charged me for the oil change, even though I had to add my own oil back into it after replacing the plug (partially my fault as I don't own anything to drain the oil into and keep it clean enough to put in, but I was not about to go spend more money on a brand new oil catch).
The photos provided show the old drain plug, clearly stripped and missing the gasket, and the new plug in the vehicle with the gasket (blue circle under bolt)

Gruelich's auto body
Total rip-off... They charge $200.00 per day to park there after an accident , AAA has some kind of kick back, they insisted I tow my car there.
Avoid all locations, Scottsdale, Peoria, Mesa. After an accident on bell Rd, I called AAA for a tow. The driver Angel, if that his name, insisted I tow the car to Greulichs auto body. On Monday after the adjustor was there and cleared the car, I has to pay Greulich's 200.00 per day to park there.
Paid 800.00 to park over the weekend.
Do not go there unless money is of no importance to you. Do not go there.
