GreenOvated Energy
Greenovated Energy ripped me off
Greenovated presented me with an overly complicated "marketing agreement" for a solar water heater system, which they claimed would get me a solar water heater for under $4000. Bottom line is that they set up financing, and that they would make all the payments for the first year. They missed making payments the first couple months, then actually paid on it for two months (after the account was already racking up late fees) then quit making payments at all. I found out when the lender started calling and screaming at me on the phone. Compass Bank suggested I make the payments and contact Greenovated to get my money back. Rigggghhhht. This cost me over $2500 from what Greenovated claimed I would have to pay.
Greenovated also promised they would handle filing for the utility rebate, something they never did, and they never answer their phone when called to provide rebate info. This cost me $1500 in lost rebate
If that wasn't enough, a month or so later I find out that, even tho Greenovated was paid in full by Compass, Greenovated failed to pay a supplier for materiels they used. The supplier placed a lien on my house. I showed up at Greenovated's office in person (as they never answered phone messages or email), and they promised they would take care of it. That is the last I heard from them, but not the last I heard from the supplier, as they later threatened to foreclose on my home. I have since come to an agreement with the supplier, so I have to pay for the materials a second time: cost to me $1900.
Those are just the raw costs to me. My credit rating is damaged, and I'm having to pay far more in interest on the account than planned. Energy savings from Greenovated's system are negligible, the system will definitely NOT pay itself off in my lifetime (assuming it lasts that long).
Dealing with Greenovated was the worst decision of my life, they have financially damaged me to a point I'll never be the same. I'm sure they won't be in business much longer, as apparently they are as loathe to pay their lease as they are to pay their suppliers. As a cautionary tale, I can only suggest that people research and make sure who they are doing business with: if you see any of the principals from Greenovated Energy on board (Matthew Blodgett, Richard Blodgett, Joshua Elevethe, Aaron Blodgett, Michael Hutchins), take your money and run before they do. Rumor has it they are still running the same scam under a different business name now. I'll never trust a contractor in Arizona again, unless they can show a decade or better in business and a superior rating at BBB and AZ Register of Contractors, and no legitimate complaints at sites like pissed consumer.
GreenOvated Energy a Solar sales company
GreenOvated Energy in Phoenix sold us a solar energy system/hot water system. We were told that $3,000.00 would be applied directly down on our loan/purchase price of $12,977 for the Solar system as an incentive from GreenOvated Energy. It is stated in the contract. We have NOT received the$3,000 promised to us to purchase their system.
We were also told that for a period not to exceed 12 months, GreenOvated Energy would pay $250/month and $80/month for qualifying E-Paks packages. This has NOT been done either.
We have tried repeatedly to phone the manager Aaron Blodgett and his voice mail is always full, we have talked to the office secretary, Rebecca and she repeatedly told us this "will" be done, but as yet nothing has been done. We have tried repeatedly to reach someone in the company to handle this problem with no response.
They set us up with Compass Bank to finance this, and we have talked to the head office of Compass and we ARE NOT THE ONLY people that GreenOvated are not paying. The bank referred to our loans as "oh, you are ONE OF THOSE". This told us right then, that GreenOvated is scamming customers. Since our name is on the loan, Compass can't force GreenOvated to pay what was promised to us.
This has been going on since the 1st of October 2010. The system was installed in September2010. We sent the manager, Aaron Blodgett a letter November 22, 2010 and he has NOT responded to that either. We have complained to other entices and they called Mr. Blodgett and he told them they sent us a check for $2,500, THIS IS NOT TRUE either. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH GREENOVATED ENERGY, their salesman talks up a nice deal and then he claims he can't do anything about what the company does/does not do after he sells you the product!

Anyone tried calling their old business line lately? "The magic jack number you have called is currently not assigned".
They didn't even have a real phone line.
At this point, I can only laugh, mostly at my stupidity for trusting a "business" with no long term track record. Googling "Aaron Blodgett Court Maricopa" is also good for a "laugh", for those of us who only have black humor to resort to.
Exact same thing is happening to me and my credit is now bad because of this.
This just happened to me as well; found a reputable plumbing company to help me go after them. Wish I could talk to others.
Same thing here my mother has brain cancer and had no idea what she was getting / signing since she has some memory issues.
I have since become involved and about fell over when I discovered this.
This started in July and she still has not seen the SRP rebate, and Greenovated has not paid anything as the original poster says.
I am not sure this Aarron really exists he has not yet returned one call and I can barely get them to answer their phone I talked to Rebecca once and since no one answers the office number you just get voice mail.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! U will be contacting the State AG as well.
Pretty much the same experience here. I'll be contacting the AZ AG regarding this fraud
