Positive and Professional Experience

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My family and I recently relocated to Las Vegas from a very different climate. Basically, we needed a pool and spa, and based on the restrictions with our HOA, the specifications had to be precise. (Don’t want to be welcomed to the city with a fine.)

We called around and sent e-mails to local companies. I got some interesting responses, some of which were downright unprofessional and called into question whether I’d even want the company working on my project. We chose to go to Greencare for a few reasons: 1) They responded professionally; 2) They had the most reasonable rates; and 3) They gave us a firm commitment on the work that would be done as well as the timeframe for delivery.

They met all our expectations. They built the pool and spa to the letter. They kept us up-to-date throughout the entire process, but it was clear that they were trying to work as efficiently as possible. For example, they completed our plaster on a Monday, and shortly after, our pool was full of water! Woot woot!

I can’t speak for the other reviews on this site. All I can say is that if Greencare had issues in the past, they must have resolved them, because our experience was professional through and through. They knew that I wasn’t a pro at any of this stuff, so when I had questions, they happily answered them. My wife is detail-oriented and needed to know exactly what was happening at all times. She worked with Lorraine, who answered every question and made it easy for us to do business with them.

I suggest that you go to their Web site if you want to get in contact with them. I was able to do some research there and then send an e-mail. They responded the same day. (Get everything in writing!) Definite recommend.

Resolved: No communication and broken promises

the company has come through with their promise and has fixed the issues

Original review Jun 08, 2015

I have been trying for over 1 month to get them to finish. Broken promise after broken promise.

They will not respond to email. They respond to web site inquiries and I get promised that it will be taken care of and nothing. They are down the street making money on someone else but I have dead plants after being told by their "expert" the watering is fine which must be since the whole back yard it on one system and half the trees are alive and half not. Honestly, their work is ok but they have no control of their employees.

The Lead guy whom they now “fired” spent more time trying to get me to hire him for other jobs around my house then doing his job. They had children show up on site one day. We asked them to leave so that set us back another half day. His extra activities must have been the reason he stood me up for 3 meetings for which I took off work.

He could never be on time. My current list is dead trees, grass not properly installed and Box planter leaking dirt due to being constructed wrong, and oh yeah DEAD TREES AND PLANTS! I am truly disappointed in their customer service.

This must be how they get out of the warranty... ignoring you for the whole 90 days!

GreenCare Lawn & Landscaping = Migrane!!!

(I wish there was an option for half a star because that's all I'd give this guy... and that's generous.)

Tim Hanlon's crew landscaped my back yard in Oct 2009. I had difficulty getting him here after I paid my deposit which was 50% of the total job. No phone calls explaining the hold-up and very hard to get to answer his phone. Finally made contact, gave me several excuses as to why there wasn't communication on his end. Eventually the job was completed, about a week and a half later than the proposed start date. I was somewhat happy with the work. He didn't estimate the proper amount of rock needed for the job so there are some bare spots, but I let that one go. On his last visit to the house (which was only about one week after the job was completed) I showed him that one of the trees was already dying. He checked it and cut it open with his pocket knife and said, "Oh, no, this tree is still fine it is still green inside. Let's see if it pulls through to the spring. Give me a call then if it doesn't." Not completely happy with his answer I trusted his judgement and expertise over my own and waited until the spring. When I called him in May he explained that they only had a 90 day policy for their work. I asked him then why did he instruct me to wait until the spring (when he knew full well that my 90 days would be up). He told me he was sorry and that he would be by to check on the tree by the end of the week. (This was the first week in May) Since then I have tried to call him several times over again. I have left him several messages (that he never seems to get because he is always having phone problems), and each time I do reach him he always seems to give me the same answer, "OK, I'll have someone out there by the end of the week". I've even emailed him pictures of the dead tree when he asked me too. Still no response. I have called his bluff several times but nothing seems to be getting done. It is now reaching the end of July and still I am getting the same answer from him with the same result. Empty promises. (Getting this replaced will not cost him a dime getting another tree. All of the nurseries here have a one-year free replacement policy if their product dies no matter what. All he has to do is supply the labor but that seems to be too much for him.) Nothing but empty promises and excuses with this guy.

I have also just discovered that his business merged with another business or got bought out or something. The business Tim Hanlon is working for now is call Advantage Landscaping, so I'd stay away from them too.
