Deceitful company!

Great Destinations is anything but great. In 2018, my wife and I drove two hours to go to a seminar where we were instantly pressured to buy.

We decided to stay though since we were offered a free cruise, which we planned to use for our 10-year anniversary. In the few hours that we spent at the seminar, there were more salespeople than we could keep track of trying to sell us a vacation package. They acted like vultures circling their prey. All the while, every one of them were lying to our faces about what a great investment we would be making and how the property would always be valuable.

When we got to the point of signing a contract, they went over nothing with us.

No mention of interest rates or maintenance fees.

In fact, once we had reviewed the paperwork later, we discovered that there were 2 different interest rates listed so we dont even know which one is accurate.

Never once have we used the timeshare and we do not plan to. We never even got to use the cruise we were promised because there was an expiration date in the fine print that we missed, ruining our anniversary plans.

Preferred solution: Cancel contract and all remaining debt.

Poor time share company

Have never been able to go on one of their trips as availability is never open to plan for a trip with this company.

Explaining how to work their computer system to go on a trip is not going to happen as the sales person is not sure how to work this system either.

Lots of hidden factors in this company timeshare program.

Not at all a company to do business with.

GREAT DESTINATIONS HAS RUDE PEOPLE ANSWER CUSTOMERS CALLS

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

GREAT DESTINATIONS REFUSE TO REFUND ME MY DOWN PAYMENT FEES. I CALLED THEM TWICE BACK TO BACK BUT THE RUDE LADY THAT ANSWERED TALKED RIGHT OVER MY SENTENCES.

IM SURE SHE WAS TRAINED TO DO THAT, especially because I demanded my money back due to this CORONA VIRUS PANDEMIC as we are seniors

and traveling is not allowed and its especially dangerous for us as we have pre existing health problems.

This company has BAD REVIEWS AND DIRT LOW RATINGS. We have not once used this so called club, so they are WAY AHEAD OF US money wise. Like a lot of Americans, we lost everything due to this pandemic, and this SHARK OF A COMPANY IS CONTINUING TO STEAL OUR LITTLE MONEY WE HAVE LEFT FOR FOOD. GIVE US BACK OUR MONEY

GREAT DESTINATIONS!

WE HOPE YOU GO BANKRUPT FOR SCAMMING OTHER CONSUMERS AS WELL. CONSUMERS, LETS START A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST THIS SCAM COMPANY.

THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED ASAP!

WHOs IN?

You've posted twice and I'm going to give you the same reply twice : this is only about getting your money back ; stop emoting and editorializing. You are way past telephone calls at this point and must conduct the complaint in writing and serve it via Certified Mail Return Receipt Requested.

Be polite, brief, and specific. State that you will allow 10 working days for a written reply prior to escalation of the claim.

Make or accept no communications of any other sort. If you're already desperate for food you had no business spending for tickets recently enough to be in this mess now.

ADDRESSING A COMPLAINT

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I called this crooked and rude company to address my complaint about a refund and the lady who answered did not allow me to voice my complaint as she QUICKLY talked right over my sentence, and quickly hung up on me. I called a second time, and again, she just ranted about that they were short staffed.

I had to pry it out of her if she a company rep. Or their operator. Finally she said Im the operator but still speaking with a rude attitude. BUYER BEWARE!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM SO CALLED TRAVEL CLUB its just another name for TIMESHARE.

A lot of their hotels, motels are unavailable and are in DANGEROUS AND GHETTO AREAS. DONT FALL FOR THEIR PRESENTATIONS EITHER,

They will paint it as primp, proper and beautiful LIES!

SCAM: please read this before you buy

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

They tricked me into attending a presentation by telling me I may have won a car. If I had known that they just wanted me to listen to a sales pitch I would never have gone.

They lied to me about the length of that presentation. They said it was going to be about an hour but it lasted several hours. The sales staff wore me down until I gave them the answer they wanted. English is not my first language and the explanation of the timeshare was long and complicated but they didn’t go into any detail when I signed the contract so it was difficult to make the right decision.

They told me that if I signed a contract that day I could have a 7 day vacation in Cancun. This was one of the main reasons I eventually signed the contract. It has been a year and they still have not given me my vacation. They also said the timeshare was worth $30,000 but I could buy it for $9200 if I signed that day. After I looked in to selling it I found out that they are worth peanuts on craigslist.

I've tried to send them letters and called them. I've tried to communicate through the BBB. They rarely communicate and when they do they just deny any wrong doing.

My advice is don't take my word for it and definitely don't take theirs. Do your research properly and READ those contract papers to make sure what the sales people tell you matches with the contract.

Help is here

my wife and i showed up for yet another timeshare presentation and to be honest I thought it was just like any others.Let me just say this wasn't just like a generic timeshare it was totally different. this program identifies itself as a solution to vacationing without spending alot of money.

Whoever created this concept I tip my hat to you !

They helped us see that we are truly spending money whether we have this club or not. I agree with them and to our surprise if fit in our budget infact I thought it was very affordable .I would just like to say" Help is here" !
