Substandard Lighting and Service
The situation is getting worse. I sent the chandeliers FEDEX at a cost of $70.86 on 1 November 11.
Someone from SPFH nameed Nancy signed for and received the chandeliers. I called on 14 Nov 11 and spoke with customer service she told me that I would get my refund in 7-10 days. I called again 2 Dec 11 and was told that my refund was going out that day and I should receive my refund by Tuesday 6 Dec 11. I just got off of the phone with customer service and was told that I would receive a refund for $712.00.
I told customer service if I didn\'t receive it by next week I would be reporting the company.
this is ridiculous. Now I\'m wondering if it is a legitimate company and should be investigated by the federal government.
I ordered 4 chandeliers (items A83-1536/4 and F83-SILVER/7002/6)and 1 sconce (A83-2/2813) from Gallery or Greatchandeliers at http://w2ww.spectrumhome3.com.
Products advertised as silver finish, but it looked like sprayed on primer. Two chandeliers should have been gold, but sent silver finish. First customer service person (female) told me that the product only came in silver(items A83-1536/4). Then she put me on hold, another customer service representative came on and he told me that the product did come in gold(items A83-1536/4). I didn't want the products because of the substandard finish, and I didn't receive the sconce in the shipment from FEDEX. He put me on hold three times, last time for 10 minutes. then the female got on the phone and asked if I wanted the gold finish, I told her I wanted to return the products. Then she told me that they would be charge me 25% ($171) restock fee to return the product. They should make customers aware of that, because if I had known I would not have ordered from them. I asked her if there was a return shipping label I need to receive from them. She couldn't even give me that informaiton. I requested to speak to someone higher up and she told I would have to speak with management, Bob Higgins (May be ficticious)at 5PM. I couldn't believe that there was no management working during the day. I did call back at 5:20pm and a recorded message came on stating they would be closed on 20-24 October, then it hung up.
Please do not order anything from them. What you see on the website is not what you will receive. Plus I have never had a issue returning a product. If a company gives you this much grief returning a product beware. If you order your taking a huge RISK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
