Was considering having Granite Transformation come out to give me a price for my kitchen counter-top. Seriously wanting this DONE. But,,, before making any decisions I decided to check their "complaints" Here FIRST. Thankful I DID! I now WILL PASS on spending thousands $$$ of my hard earned money.. After reading ALL THE COMPLAINTS , "I WILL PASS"!! People HERE that are COMPLAINING.. WHY DIDN'T YOU ALL DO LIKE I JUST DID.. READ THEIR COMPLAINTS FIRST BEFORE HIRING THESE PEOPLE... HOPEFULLY YOU ALL WILL USE WISDOM AND CHECK THE COMPANY OUT FIRST BEFORE HIRING.. I NEVER HIRE ANYONE WITHOUT CHECKING THEM OUT FULLY AND COMPLETELY.. HOPEFULLY. YOU ALL LEARNED A VALUABLE LESSON.. "LOOK BE FOR YOU LEAP".. STOP!! BEING FOOLISH!! REMINDER: THE COMPANY DID NOT COME TO YOU.. YOU MADE THE CALL AND YOU SET THE APPOINTMENT AND YOU HIRED THEM.. SO STOP COMPLAINING.. JUST HOPE YOU ALL LEARNED A LISTEN.. SO HAPPY I CAN HERE FIRST. I WOULD NEVER HIRE THIS COMPANY, AFTER I READ ALL THE NEGATIVES ON THIS COMPANY... BEST OF LUCK TO ALL NEXT TIME.. REMEMBER: IF YOU DON'T GET THE INFO FIRST IT'S NO ONE'S FAULT BUT YOURSELVES.. ENOUGH SAID... SAM

We have had them back out to our house twice since installation for repairs. Our countertops are pieced together, not one solid sheet. It is quartz, very thin material. Had a nick wick they “filled in”. Had yellowed grout. Now we have a whole section be hind stove which is bowed. The chief installer told us it was never installed correctly and took new measurements to replace. Been 3-4 weeks and I had to contact them. They now say it’s out of stock at this time. I would spend couple extra bucks and get it done right with real granite.

I have had two problems with my countertops. The first one was a brown discoloration around my faucets. The person in charge gave me a run around, than said they would charge $55.00 to look at it. I called the national office and finally had it resolved. The second issue is a light discoloration where I had a flowerpot. .i never used any plant food, water only. I have not called them again. They were very insulting the first time, and asked me several times if I used bleach on the countertops. All I have ever used is glass cleaner, and dish soap.

Great Product, Great Experience

Not sure why this site doesn't encourage positive experiences, as well, but I had my kitchen countertops done about 5 years ago and they are still great. Staff was easy to work with and the installation process was quick and mess-free. I used them again for a commercial countertop where there is high traffic. That countertop has also withstood the test of time and abuse. From a product standpoint, I believe the quality is proven. If you've had an issue with Granite Transformations, my guess is it has more to do with a person you dealt with. In my experience, the product and the staff were both great. I would definitely recommend to others. I went to Granite Transformations - Cleveland, OH.

The ownership changed hands in September of 2017. I used them a couple of times before that and the company was great. Not so sure I will consider using them again after the comments I'm seeing.

Following a consultant visit to measure and schedule a job, we coordinated a date and appointment to have the work done. The contractor also confirmed the date for Friday the 14th.. Rather than call me, their offices called my wife and told her that they would have to postpone the appointment for almost a month. They made excuses about their warehouse in Florida and the hurricane, however this was dishonest. No materials were needed, and the initial consult was done before the hurricane. Now they tell me they didn't know the extent of the job which is another lie. Their consultant as well as my contractor provided that information and they set an appointment for Friday Sept.14th. Now they say they can't get to it until September 29th. We now regret we ever recommended this product and there is nothing we can do about it because they are the only Granite Transformation franchise in the KC area.

No follow up with problems

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I contacted GT and a salesman was out within a few days. We were pleased with Joe and the product.

We placed our order that day and canceled other scheduled estimates. They were on schedule and the installers were professional. The first day the did the kitchen counters. When they came back the second day to do the backsplash I pointed all the swirl grove marks in the counter obviously caused from the maker.

The installers said they had never seen that before and tried to take pictures but it didn't show up. They said they would let the office know so someone could come look at it and let me know how they were going to fix it. I waited 2 days and on the third day I called my sales rep. He said he had never heard of this problem before and that someone would be calling me to come look at it.

I waited 2 more days, still no phone call so I text Joe and told he no one has called. He replied that Susan would call me that day to schedule something and it's been 3 days and still no call.

So I am left with damaged countertops but they don't t care cause they got paid. Inspect your counters before you let them get installed!

Looks great but..

Probably 3 years ago I had a counter top, sink and backslash installed. Looks beautiful. I was told at the time just use glass cleaner to clean. We have hard water here so I used a little lime away around the facet and now it is discolored. I called Granite Transformation, which is another town 50 miles away, got the answering machine which was during business hours, I said I was driving through their town and wanted to stop and get some cleaner for counter top and sink. Left my number. No one called. Stopped anyway only to find a note on the door saying TEXT them. Wow wouldn't have that been great to leave on their answering machine, seeing how we had to drive out of our way to go to their empty store. That was 4 days ago and no one has called me back.

Side panels to cabinets

I got my kitchen upgraded by Granite Transmission in 2011. I really like the way the kitchen looks.

But a few months ago someone notice a panel coming off. Then my daughter saw another one. I called Granite and they said it's not under warranty anymore. There people could come out, but the price was to high.

I have a handyman who is cheaper, but being a single mother I shouldn't have to pay for this repair when the whole kitchen was costly. There warranty should be longer or lifetime. I still like my kitchen and how it was done. But for a big company like that it wouldn't take much to fix it.

So I will not refer Granite Transformations to anyone. I think they should rethink the warranty of the materials that might come loose. Someone is going to catch there clothes on it and rip it off.

I guess I will go to Menards and ask what I can use to keep them from coming off. I just read your terms of service and for a big company your service warranty is not good.

Excellent experience!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

From the initial consultation with Cindy, to the install with David, All was a big success! I had found some tile on my own but didn't have any experience with DIY projects.

I needed a professional! Cindy was knowledgable about her products and what would work well in my kitchen and bath. She was really patient with me, as well. There were a lot of options and it was difficult to choose from all the beautiful products.

David was professional and also had an experienced eye to support the transformation. My kitchen and bath are Beautiful and I am so Grateful to have had a wonderful, professional experience!

I had my counter tops and back splash installed on 11-14-16. When I came home on the first day there was 1 gentlemen working in the kitchen.

About 15 min later the other worker came down from upstairs. Apparently he had been in my bathroom taking a ***. They left a mess in my driveway. They used my water hose to clean the debris and didn't put it back.

The next day I had 2 new workers. One was named Oscar. He was very professional. Long story short.

I love my kitchen.

Would I use them again? Not sure

We spent an enormous amount of money on the kitchen floor to be redone. They should have informed us that there would be a layer of dust in every nook and cranny of every cupboard.

The flooring was 2 weeks late, Had to jackhammer the existing floor out, did not clean up as they left for the day. The flooring is not conducive to our lifestyle living on a farm! They assured me before construction it would be perfect!

We are now paying for another floor company to relay the kitchen floor. Monetary loss more than $10,000.

Unethical and Questionable Business Practices

Granite Transformations product workmanship and installation are poor at best. Granite Transformations operates using unethical and questionable business practices.

Below is a high level summary of my experiences with Granite Transformations. 1. Uneven counter top which did not align with the stove and counter top on the opposite side of the stove. The oven door hit the counter top when opening and closing.

2. Scraps from cutting the edges of the original counter tops were left next to and behind refrigerator. 3. Cabinets littered with sawdust.

4. Counters shimmed with popsicle sticks to level them prior to the granite tops being glued. Shims should have been used, not popsicle sticks. 5.

Counter top was not re-screwed to the cabinets where it had been shimmed. 6. The finish on the end of the cabinets were damaged. 7.

Sink not properly caulked. 8. Chip out of the counter top. 9.

Underneath of counter top overlay was not finished completely. Not smooth and clean. The mess left by the installers took 2.5 hours to clean up. As a resolution, I initially requested Granite Transformations fix the issues and refund 20% of my purchase price.

They refused both verbally and in writing. I promptly disputed the charges with my credit card company, filed a complaint with the BBB and filed a complaint with the Ohio State Attorney General. After haggling with me, Granite transformations offered to do what I originally asked, fix the issues and refund 20% of my purchase price. At this point I was no longer willing to negotiate with them or support a business with questionable business practices, so I requested they remove their product from my home and provide a full refund.

Instead of Granite Transformations working with me to resolve the issue and my concern amicably and investing in having a fully satisfied customer, they invested their time and money in their legal counsel to dispute my filings and get my complaints removed from the BBB site and Attorney General and then refused to provide me with a partial refund even after agreeing to do so. Searching the BBB site returns a complaint filed on 10/19/2016 for Problems with Product/Service and the details read “Complaint Details Unavailable”. My complaint was factual and legitimate.

If you are considering Granite Transformations I would strongly recommend reconsidering your options and avoid this company. If you are interested in the full details of my experience, please email standupforconsumers@***.com and I will gladly share the full details of my experience with Granite Transformations.

Love my counter tops!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I don't know why all the bad reviews here....maybe people don't have time to write about the great experiences they have in life. Some things just have to be bragged about.

I am so excited about my new counter tops. It took six weeks from beginning to end. Everyone I dealt with was very professional. The two men Edgar Rico and Gerardo Blanko are the absolute best!

The installation they did is beyond excellent. These two men went the extra mile to make my kitchen remodel a dream come true. When they were done all the clean up was done....NO MESS.

A truly great experience. Love my kitchen, Sherri Crandall in Redding,CA

Poor product quality

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Poor quality product. Three years after owning the counter cracked all around the tap [which they installed] and then a few months later three more cracks in the main body of the counter.

They initially tried to blame us for the cracks but their repair person said the damage is not consistent with consumer damage and the owner should get involved to work out a replacement under the supposed "lifetime" warranty, which is an obvious lie. My once beautiful counter now has two ugly seams on it and poly resin filled cracks. They have completely ignored my requests to have the counter replaced, and did not respond to the Better Business Bureau requests for resolution.

This is an expensive product that doesn't hold up. Don't waste your money, go with real stone, or something else that will last.

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND GRANITE TRANSFORMATIONS

Only wanted to replace cupboard where Gas wall oven was. Turned up with all measurements wrong, and cupboards not matching existing ones that were done by them several years before. In quote was listed supply and install range hood. They said they did not do that. They did not answer messages I left. After giving up getting in touch with the Franchise, sent all my information to Head Office. When you dial the H/O number it goes automatically to your closest Franchise so stated in my info to them to call me direct and sent express post with signature required. When they rang, I got their Head Office Number, it is 02 8817 ****. Spoke first time to Joyce, and then to Jason. They said they would get the Southport Franchise IN Queensland Aust. to contact me. Nothing happened so rang H/O again and said I wanted a refund. ] Next I get a sarcastic email from the Southport office stating that they were not aware I did not have their email and phone number. They said H/O would send payment advice and when I checked with their H/O was told they do not do refunds it is the individual Franchise and that they would get in touch with them. Went to "Office of Fair Trading" this morning to start the ball rolling and got home to find that finally the money I had paid was in my account. This has taken nearly 4 weeks. Have now got quote for same thing at half the price. BE VERY WARY OF THEM

Never again

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I contracted with Granite Transformations for a recent bathroom remodel. Instead of laying the product over an existing tub and countertop, we had the countertop and the tub unit removed, and we had a brand-new cast iron Kohler tub installed. The workers scraped the granite produce over the surface of the tub during the install, scratching and cracking the surface of a brand-new tub, and the workers never even mentioned it. I've been in negotiations with them for four months to replace the $1000 tub that they damaged, and it is now obvious that they are stalling and have no intention of replacing my damaged tub. We call at least once a week, and the responses from the office manager have become ever more vague. At this point, after supplying them with every document and receipt that they've asked for, after being told approximately a month ago that the tub was ordered and someone would need to be home to sign for it, we're now being told that corporate has not yet "signed off" on the project and that the replacement tub will be ordered when that happens.

Don't bother with the Franchise. Go straight to the Head Office Franchisor.

If you cannot get their telephone number send all your info registered mail with signature required and ask them to call you. Leave mobile number and when they call you have their number. That was the only way I got my refund. Head Office does not have anything to do with refunds.

It is up to the Franchise owner.

Good Luck. Don't give up

Yeah $1000 dollar tub is like $50 case to GT, there's no corporate to sign off on the stuff. You mad you got fired ahaha. GT is honestly the best, if they mess up and you let them know, they will fix it with little problem
