Went to graceland building place in leland was told they had 2 clearance buildings, was given a price taxes included 3400 range, no one went over contract and told me I'd b paying around 8000 if I didn't have cash, just sign and initial I called today to get payoff and when it was 63.00 less than my initial quoted price I questioned it then found out why they have so many repos, this place is dishonest, what if I couldn't read? I never read it because I took him at his word which means nothing to me now.

I've pd in the range of 800.00 and im so mad, I dont recommend them unless you can read or have cash, because of what they dont tell you, I would never have bought this building if I had known it was going to cost 8000.00 because I don't have 3400.00.

My words to you are these, if you are going to rob someone at least give them a heads up. I won't be giving any recommendations, 0, none.

Rent to own is expensive. The total cost is plainly shown in the rent to own agreement

Agreed. If you can't read a contract, do not sign it.

If you don't understand no credit check rent to own, and how expensive it is, don't do it. Why would a company give somebody w/ poor credit free financing?

If you have good credit, why are you doing rent to own? These complaints are ridiculous.

Property damage

We had a graceland portable builing on our property, and we had ask them to come pick it up and when they did the driver crushed my 8x12 concrete slab, our new walk way and then crushed our sidewalk. The driver backed his truck and trailer across all three and loaded the building and drove back across all three again.

I called graceland and the driver and of both parties blamed the other.

Graceland has the sorriest so called professional people working for them they are people full of excuses and deceit and thinking they can come on your property and damage it and they will not suffer any consequences so we made a police report and we are now suing both parties. So anyone who gets a building from these people just know that they will not cover any damages they do to your property.

Mislead/ripped off

The buildings are not as efficient or well built as they state. They did not honor the warranty when the side door and frame rotted.

It took years to get a response. We were repeatedly told they had not received a claim-they sent an adjuster to our home and they claimed they had no record. Somehow, due to staffing changes, our calls, e-mails, etc. just conveniently disappeared temporarily until the warranty expired.

Then when we provided proof that the adjuster determined it should be covered, we were told that he was no longer employed there and they now determined it was not caused by the fact that they used a poor quality door/design and that it was caused by weather and refused to cover the cost to replace the door and frame that rotted within 2 years of purchase.

They felt that sending an amazon gift card for our inconvenience was sufficient. I will never purchase their products again and recommend that everyone avoid giving them your business.

Thought I was purchasing a shed in 2018. After making double monthly payments for 2 years, I checked my statement and noticed that I had 21 more payments to go. When I contacted DisGraceland, I was told that I was renting to own. At no time when the seller was going over the paperwork was there mention of renting. If she would have informed me that this is a rent to own and that I would be making 60 payments at $97 per month, I would have purchased shed from Lowes or Home Depot. They are scammers.

Bad workmanship

I bought this building for 7500.00 and financed it so by time it was over more like 13k. I was told it's the best life time warranty on it. With in 3 years the roof started leaking found that all the staples on the shingles were exposed and had rusted away....called Graceland and they said oh your warranty was expired....my life time warranty????.....the roof would have been fine if they would have done their job right in the beginning and covered the staples with the next shingle like you are supposed to do.....they dont stand by their word and I will never purchase another building from them again....they suck

I have had a Graceland portable building for over 2 years. In the last year I have gotten behind on my bill and have been charged late charges monthly. We always have to call in and make a payment and that is not a problem because they always work with us on it. Today (11-29-19) I called to make my monthly payment as usual. I spoke with customer service lady named Anna. I told her I wanted to make one payment, as usual, and she gave me the price including a late charge. I told her I couldn’t afford the late payment this month and agreed to pay it after the first of the year. Now mind you I know I owe it and have no problem paying it but am on fixed income at the moment. There has never been an issue with this agreeement before. Anna begins to tell me she will accept the payment minus the late charge but that I need to start paying the late fees. I again explained to her I knew I owed them and again told her I could pay them in January. She said ok and then began to tell me repeatedly that I need to pay the late fees because I owed them. She was very rude and began lecturing me. I asked to speak to her supervisor due to her poor attitude and at first she cut me off again lecturing about the late fees. Finally she patched me through to the supervisor to leave him a voicemail. Anna was very unprofessional and condescending towards me. I understand she was doing her job but after me repeatedly telling her I couldn’t do it right now and was willing to do it in January she kept on. I have never had an issue with Graceland in the past and I pray this isn’t the new standard of customer service there either. If Anna gets on the phone with you hopefully she has a better attitude.

Sloten bluiding

I got a Graceland bluiding amd it was stolen after a hurricane.i call and told them it was sloten.i called the cops but the there was nothing they could do because it was left beside we had to move.im scared this place is going to take me to court over something i could control.

Item 147 of the rental agreement clearly states that the renter is responsible for the balance if the building is stolen. Most people have homeowners insurance to cover theft.

I can only give Graceland 2 stars because I really like the buildings. Their constructon and design are wonderful. The delivery and set up was terrible. I was promised delivery and set up on June 12. It was after July 22 that the job was complete. I had to postpone my electrical contractor and other work for over 6 weeks. Great construction but very poor delivery and set up! Thanks to Doug, the company owner I now have safe and useable buildings. Thank you Doug. Dave

The dealer told me that they do not help with fence AFTER I signed contract. This review is only a start.

I plan on saying something negative about this company as long I have to pay MY SHED. GRACELAND PORTABLE SHEDS has bad customer service. BUT I HAVE A SHED NOW. The DRIVER tore up my yard with that stupid apparatus he used.

HE DID NOT LISTEN TO ME ABOUT WHERE I WANTED MY SHED TO GO .. AND CAME IN ALL WRONG TO UNLOAD TO END IN THE RIGHT POSITION IN THE YARD.

ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS DRIVE IN WITH THE SHED IN RIGHT WAY AND PARALLEL PARK MY NEW SHED INTO POSITION, BUT HECK NO! IT COST ME $100 TO GET MY FENCE BACK AND TOPSOIL TO REPLACE THE SOIL THAT WAS TORE UP BY THIS YAHOO.THANKS A LOT PEOPLE!

Shed is junk

Purchased a wooden shed a year ago and it wasn't cheap either). Went out there the other day and thanks to their "great" ventilation system, everything is covered in mold. Everything in there now has to be thrown away. There is also a small leak at the door which they supposedly are going to send someone out to fix, but as far as the mold, I was told they're not responsible for that. So besides losing everything in it, I still have payments on it. They won't do anything about it. Graceland sheds are a joke!!! Not worth your time or money.

Gave me smaller building than ordered but being charged for the bigger size I ordered

Terrible I ordered a 16x36 building and few months after I was installing a ceiling and I noticed the inside was less than 14' wide and was exactly 14' from eave to eave. When I emailed about it they told me basically that it's not exact measurements!

Who builds with exact measurements not them.

But when I got out my contract it says on there 16'from eave to eave is what it is supposed to be. the charging me for a bigger shed instead of the one that I got will not adjust the price so I'm paying tons more for something that is not what I ordered I'm disgusted with these people and they have no care in the world they just want their money they want to harass me for money but they don't give a damn about that they built it to foot too small from what I ordered but going to charge me for two foot bigger

I bought a shed. Their engineering incompetence left a big hole by the roll up door that allows squirrels to come and go.

They destroyed a $5000 paint job on my race car and chewed up a lot of material. The "Patented ventilation system" allows foreign matter to reign down into the shed causing a real mess. When they delivered the shed the quality and materials used for installation are a joke. They did not tell me I need a permit.

They did not install the tie downs required by Florida codes. Code enforcement came by a week later and said I did need a permit. I cannot get a permit because the tie downs aren't installed. So I have a fortune in fines and permit extensions, a $5000 paint job ruined, and still no permit.

So I quit paying them. So now they are suing me. I have told them I will destroy their reputation and create problems they never dreamed of.

They don't care. They will care I promise you.

I shopped every where ( Derksen, Cook, Premiere, Morgan, Home Depot, and Lowes). Graceland definitely has the best building that I could find.

The sales staff was very helpful. I was informed that a permit was required. This is also item 3 on page 3 of the "Welcome Packet" I received. Anyone with any sense should know this.

Anchoring was included and they provided engineer stamped blueprints. I could not be happier with my Graceland Portable Building experience.

So because you failed to do the proper paperwork needed for your shed it’s all their fault? Then you go on a public website and threaten them with blackmail?

I think they should continue to sue you then go after you for the blatant defamation you have willingly posted. I swear!! You losers will blame anyone you can to get out of your responsibilities!! It’s YOUR property.

It was YOUR responsibility to ensure any permits needed you had. All you had to do was physically go down to the permit office and ask a simple question. What do I need to put up a shed on my property? Simple to do.

Yet instead of doing your part you instead expect them to do everything for you and when they don’t you go online and threaten them for your mistakes!! I hope the sue you for everything you own including the house.

You are incorrect about the company blaring religious music throughout the office. There are also people of color and multi nationalities that work at the corporate office.

Out in the field there are several independent contractors of other nationalities that work in affiliation with Graceland. Also, it is the responsibility of the consumer to check with your local government to see if there are any permit requirements.

Sounds to me like you got behind on your payment and now you are making an excuse for being sued.... Its not the company's responsibility to check you local laws for permits nor to give you a discount because of them...

I dont know what kind of "Paint" you are using but for $5000 it should be gold plated..... if I am not mistaken NO portable building company guarantees there will be no rodent access? mice can crawl through a 1/4" gap.... it is also not the company's responsibility to provide you with block to put it on....

if they do it will be the ones you got... didnt like them? should have bought concrete blocks... just another example of someone trying to blame everyone else for not paying your bill and doing your homework before buying a building...

and if you could have built one for 2k then why didnt you? ?

The supplier was less than 13 miles from my house , took five weeks to deliver it ! While it sat on the lot someone opened the window , now the floor is buckled when mentioned they ignored it . The ceiling height is not 8’ . It’s out of square , it was built that way . If you buy you’ll be okay , if you rent to own it will cost you over $5000 for a $2300 building and all the other cost , convenient fee . I guess we inconvenienced by paying our bill . GO TO YOUR BANK & GET A LOAN DO NOT RENT TO OWN BAD FOR YOUR POCKET BOOK ! ! ! !

They don’t tell you it’s rent to own. Let you assume your monthly payments will equal cost of shed, taxes and fees.
