Very Toxic Environment

AI Highlights
  • - Fights occur daily at the Gorilla Glue plant.
  • - Two people were killed in separate plant incidents.
  • - Threats and harassment among workers escalate.

Fights break out daily. Two people were killed during different situations that occurred in the plant.

One person was followed while going to lunch at a Rally's; he was shot dead in the drive-thru for having an affair with another worker at Gorilla Glue. Another worker was followed and shot and killed by another Gorilla Glue temporary employee.

People are threatening others and nothing is done about it. The constant hatred of others by others is terrible, and the escalation is damaging to others.

Loss:

Pros:
  • Great benefits
Cons:
  • Very toxic work place

Preferred solution: Changes in HR and management

User's recommendation: Spend your money somewhere else

EXTREMELY DISGUSTING TO DEAL WITH. GLUE NOT WORK

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Gorilla Glue tubes hardened after a few drops and won’t dispense.
  • - An unopened tube hardened later; replacement refused; no expiration date or warning.

We purchased several Gorilla Glue products for our office. After using only a few drops from a couple of tubes, we later found that the glue had completely hardened inside the tubes and could no longer be dispensed.

Even worse, the most recent tube we purchased from Amazon was never opened.

When we tried to use it a couple of months later, it had already hardened and was entirely unusable. In total, we wasted approximately $90 on products that effectively worked once, if at all.

We contacted Gorilla Glue, but they refused to replace or compensate us, citing that the products were manufactured a couple of years earlier. There was no expiration date and no warning on the packaging indicating that the glue could harden on its own over time. Are customers really expected to purchase a product that can only be used for a few drops one time?

This experience has been extremely frustrating and feels like a complete rip-off.

By contrast, we have several Elmer's Glue in our office also.

We still use Elmers glue that we purchased over a decade ago, and it works perfectly every time. Elmers products are significantly cheaper, come in larger bottles, and are clearly designed for long-term use.

Buyers beware. Gorilla Glue may be expensive, but in our experience, it is neither reliable nor consumer-friendly.

We wasted about $90, and that is all Gorilla Glue will ever get from us.

We will never purchase their products again, nor will our friends or affiliated businesses, EVER in our lifetime.

We are investment bankers, and while $90 itself is not worth our time to dispute, this is a matter of principle and fairness. We are sharing our experience so others are aware and can make informed decisions.

Loss:
$90
Pros:
  • Expensive and unreliable
Cons:
  • It is neither reliable nor consumer-friendly

Preferred solution: Full refund

User's recommendation: Buyers beware. Gorilla Glue may be expensive, but in our experience, it is neither reliable nor consumer-friendly.

Bad experience with Gorilla glue product

AI Highlights
  • - Two caulking tubes were partially hardened and unusable; $12.95 each, $15 total credit offered; replacement or full refund denied.
Bad experience with Gorilla glue product
Bad experience with Gorilla glue product - Image 2

Purchased 2 tubes of caulking cartridge type adhesives, both were partially hardened, totally unable to use the caulking gun had to slice the tubes with a utility knife to get at least some product out (that wasn't hardened) what a MESS! Each tube cost $12.95 each, I called gorilla CS s/w rep Julie, explained the problem, she grilled me like a criminal suspect, wanted pics and the receipts, then reiterated my experience and had me restarted it 3 times and punched holes in it, I became intolerant and demanded a resolution, I received an email and they closed my complaint with a $7.50 credit per tube, $15 total, I called back and protested the credit as I demanded to be made "WHOLE" which either should be $12.95 each PLUS Tax, they refused , to make matters worse the *** I got on the phone had bedside manners of a primate and treated me like a 5th rate citizen, went out of her way to overtalk me, not listen and adomately chose to aggravate a situation beyond a point of no return, I demanded that they either send me 2 replacement tubes, or a voucher to get 2 replacement tubes or the full replacement cost plus tax, they refused, I demanded they provide me as to where I can purchase this product ANYWHERE at $7.50 and I'll be made WHOLE, they could not!

Gorilla customer service is a nasty as a gorilla *** I was treated like a piece of crap, the few dollars to make this right, rather *** slap a customer? Money greedy gorilla ***
