This company will bury deep in a 48 page lease agreement, and lot of unsavory terms that take advantage of a lot of smaller businesses. They are looking to make boatloads and are okay with being deceptive about leasing rather than purchasing equipment, and unless you have a legal team in house or a full accounting department that can pour over a 48 page agreement, you will miss some of these things.

A 48 page agreement should tell you plenty.

I recently changed companies and my new agreement was 6 pages. They have had to revise their agreement because of all the issues they have had in court and continue to operate in a way that gets new legislation passed, then they have to adjust. I DO NOT understand how so many big companies have done business with them.

They will mess you up, take you for a lot of money, have zero sympathy even when dealing with something like coronavirus outbreak that has led to hurting businesses, and they will get their money.

They also changed names to a new entity (formerly Capital A Leasing), yet nothing changes in their agreements. As a customer, I had no say so in the company change, I just had to go with it.

We were using their equipment, it broke down. They said to send it back, which we did.

Never got a reply or replacement.

We now have and other company, but Golden Eagle keeps billing us.

Now after a year they want an extra $500 or will take legal action. We have paid them thousands of dollars already for unsatisfactory equipment.

They are sending 10 day demand letters to my daughter threatening to sue her and she was just an employee. My business closed two years ago and we tried on numerous occasions to contact this Leasing company and no one answered or returned our calls. We tried to return the equipment but no answer from these crooks.

I owned the company and contacted them to give them my information so they could BUG me instead........No call back no answer.

I am not shocked to see the same story over and over about this company...I made some changes in my credit card processing today and while talking with my banker, I found that Golden Eagle has been charging my account for the last six years $20.35 per month for equipment that was returned. Of course when I called them they claimed they never received the equipment...they were rude and quick with answers and it was apparent they do this often.

It is now up to me to prove they received the return equipment...what a SCAM. They are clearly taking advantage of small business owners.

Received letter after 10 years of equipment return!

Machine was rented from this company and RETURNED 10 YEARS AGO from the company that also went bankrupt and all of a sudden they send a letter that our lease is in trouble and they want over $300. Upon calling the number on the letter and speaking with Chasity Castro whom was very uncorporative and would not connect me with her upper management she states they have no record of return (FROM 10 YEARS AGO)!!!!!!!

NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN THEY CONTACTED -as she claims- the credit bureau as well. Why have I not received ANY kind of correspondence over the 10 year period about this? NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN THEY WANT MONEY?!?!?

YES- this company is a SCAM!!!! I will also be contacting the credit bureaus to dispute if there is in fact anything there and reporting a complain to the better business bureau!

Signed a 48 month lease with golden eagle leasing for a clover credit card processing machine. We recently closed the business for good and they want $3,000 contract buy out for a machine I will no longer be using! What a scam!!!

My corporate business account has been involved with golden eagle credit card processing through a lease that was termed over 5 years ago and the terminal was mail back as directed. My new IT specialist from an independent bank loaned me his terminal as a replacement and he did not charge me for the service.

I now find from my bank statements they golden eagle has been charging my account $34.34 * 12 months x 5 years as verified buy my old email address now discarded for five years.

Besides being insolent on the phone and generally uncooperative what Golden Eagle needs according to all I've read in criticism is a good class action suit. This country does not need another fraudulent example of democracy working at cross-purposes two good business practices.

Golden Eagle and North American Bancard are AWFUL companies!!!!

Like many of the other complaints about this company I too had entered into a contract with a credit card processing (North American Bancard) company that worked with Golden Eagle (I was not aware of that). We needed to update our terminal because it lacked the memory nessecary to run credit cards.

To update we spent over $200 and was told I was purchasing this machine. My business switched credit card processing and at no point during canceling was I told to call golden eagle about machine. For a year I have been making $33 a month payments on a machine I have not been using. I made countless attempts to contact North American Bancard about how to return machine and no one ever returned my calls.

Finally I found a number for golden eagle on this website. I was greeted by a rude man who criticized my efforts and gloated that golden eagle is the largest leasing company in the world. He continually cut me off, not allowing me to finish talking.

It is appalling that I have spent a minimum of $600 dollars for a machine I haven't used in over a year. Golden Eagle and North American Bancard are scamming {{redacted}}.

I have read numerous complaints about these two companies. I hope I don't have problems.

So far so good...I called to terminate my account and ask how to return the equipment. I also FAXED a letter to Golden Lease to insure my intent and reason. I informed them in the faxed letter that no further debits from my account were authorized.

I also sent the equipment back to them as specified in their FAX to me with a request that someone must sign for the equipment.

We shall see... :?

has been charging - unduly - a monthly fee for "software leasing". My wife managed credit card accounts, did not pay attention to the recurring charge to our checking account. When I noticed - this is years in the works, btw, our bad for not noticing sooner - I called Golden Leasing Inc. at 800-683-**** to inquire and cancel.

Got a run around, and was hung up TWICE, with no satisfaction, I have had to call my bank, put a stop payment, and probably will end up changing checking account numbers to make sure. Talk about ***!

A little over 10 years ago doing engraving and making keys in a mall and having a engraving website I needed a credit card terminal so I set it up through merchant linx and their sales rep golden eagle leasing. I finished the first 48 months of $99.99 per month lease and the continued billing me month after + taking percentages and odd amounts out of my count random and daily.

I opened a business 3 years ago, they latched on to my new account and been at it ever since. $99 one day, $49 the next.

My bell rings and a male asks me my name and serves me a court summons to appear in court for over $3,000!!!!! I don't even know what to do at this point, please help Michael : 718-885-**** Thank you, Mike

This company is unethical. My father, a shop owner, was approached by a sales representative from Golden Eagle Leasing Co.

offering him a contract to lease a credit card terminal in 2002. Since he spoke little English, the woman told him that he was going to own the terminal after two years in 2004. After the contract ends, Golden Eagle Leasing Co. continues to deduct the monthly fee of $52.25 from his bank from 2004 to the end of 2009.

They took nearly $3000(the price of the terminal was $280). I contacted this company and asked to see if we could get our money back. In my experience of communicating with them, their attitude could be described as one with too much pride, and they acted like they dont really need clients(let's put them out of business then!). They were prideful and dehumanizing.

They offered me a $500 dollar rebate if I sign up for another 2 year contract instead.

DO NOT DEAL with this company. Buy your own terminal it's much cheaper.

Golden Eagle never sent me one bill in the mail and was not the company I signed up with, but unbeknownst to myself that company was provided equipment by guess who. Less than 6 months after beginning service with this company I cancelled due to FAULTY EQUIPMENT and lack of tech support( and lost more than $3500 in unclaimed transactions). I paid a large sum for cancellation just to get rid of the service.

I sold my small business in May 2006, more than 3 years after signing the now-cancelled contract, and found a strange charge on my billing statements. Even after I had sold my business, someone was billing me for something monthly and I didn't recognize the name on the statement. So I closed my bank account, and lo and behold phone calls came in.

In one 6 hour portion of a Wednesday I recieved 8 harrassing phone calls and I returned 3 to the company. According to this company I owed them several hundred dollars for leased equipment. Now hear this, in 2003 when I cancelled I contacted a phone number given to me by my representative regarding the faulty equipment, it was Northern I assumed it was a sister company or such. I asked if the equipment should be shipped back, the fellow said no and in paying the large cancellation charge the equipment was mine. He even advised me to sell it and recoup the monies I lost.


Remember this - according to Golden Eagle, the leasing is what they deal with and no matter if you cancel, no matter if you offer to send the faulty equipment back you still owe them money. How can a company cancel an account but still charge you out the whazoo under a different name? Are they Golden Eagle or Northern???
Some shell game!

The CSR I spoke with recently refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor and followed it by saying 'Look you dont want to talk to me so I think you should just hang up okay!' Ofcourse I didn't hang up I demanded to speak to someone above him, and he refused- this went on for 15 minutes. Finally after assuring this *** that my needing to speak to a manager had nothing to do with him, he agreed to have someone contact me. Thirty minutes later another collector called and demanded pay, I asked her if there was a note on file regarding my request . . . there was not

Am I wrong or were my rights just violated?

I would like to know this - if you are charging someone for leasing something, dont you have to have something to lease to them? Is it legal in this country to lease something without having it at all? In that case I would like to lease you an imaginary Audi TT, I'd be rich in days too.

This company seems to be in the business of financial {{redacted}}, they do not provide the services required by their contracts and yet they continue to withdraw from the bank accounts of dissatisfied and FORMER clients.
I will fight this illegal and disrespectful company from here on out. I have been robbed, misled, and I have been refused my basic rights as a consumer. I only wish that I had recorded the converstaions I had with these people, it was sickening to be talked down to by *** artists and womanizers.
