Goldberg and Loren Law Firm

I am a current client of Goldberg Loren. I got stuck with this lawyer named Oscar Martinez.

I have no idea why I had to get this guy, but my experience with him and this firm is terrible. In my opinion, this guy will arrogantly talk down to you and spew a bunch of legal jargon to keep you confused and off his back. He doesn't do anything but make excuses and make up stories about the work he is doing when the case doesn't move forward at all. I have discussed my concerns with my case and the direction I would like my case to head, but he is too unprofessional to listen or follow any of my instructions.

He doesn't listen or follow through with anything except being dishonest. I have requested contact info of opposing counsel multiple times, and he refuses to give it to me. I have requested contact information of the employment lawyer Oscar said that he has reviewing my case and going over my concerns and documents. It has been several weeks that this alleged employment lawyer has been looking over my case, and no one has reached out to me, and they would have ASAP.

I have requested any and all communications to opposing counsel and their firm/adjuster, and he refuses to do that and instead says he will give me my file. During the case, I asked Oscar to get me a document that shows the termination of payment date on Athens document, and this guy sent me the whole file (close to 200 pages) to sift through myself because I guess he didn't have time to do that on his own. Why should I have to go through that many pages of documents when that is Oscar's job? However, just recently, he let me know what his job consists of and what it doesn't consist of, which is very interesting because he doesn't even do the job that his job consists of, and he apparently understands what he is supposed to be doing.

I asked him for any help with disability, not his issue, not anything he will help with. I have no income, can't sleep, I am in severe pain all day, I can't pick up my 2-year-old, and I have discussed all these concerns with Oscar, and lo and behold, he emails me that he is sorry I am going through all this and if I need anything, don't be afraid to reach out to him?? In my opinion, this guy is not my friend or relative; he is my lawyer who is supposed to do a job that he was hired for and not tell me that if I need anything, reach out to him. I have reached out to him and requested many things that I need, which resulted in him lying and me not getting anything I need.

At this time, Oscar can't even get my epidural request after a year and a half after exhausting all interventions, which is the way the process goes. He talked to me about that not getting the epidural is unprecedented because this is how the process moves every time, so he was super concerned that they keep denying it, but did that do anything to move my case forward or get me closer to any pain relief with an epidural? No. In my opinion, Oscar tells you what you want to hear just to get off the phone, and then he continues to do what he does best: nothing.

In my opinion, you should do your research and choose a more reputable firm and ignore all the website fluff and comments about being such a good firm for over 30 years and how they help their clients.

In my opinion, Oscar is an ambulance chaser that doesn't want to chase anything and would rather sit at his desk and wait for the possibility that the ambulance may park right next to him, which unfortunately doesn't happen, and when it doesn't, Oscar begins his dishonesty and unethical behaviors to get you off his back and avoid all accountability for a job he is supposed to do. In my opinion, it has to be a challenge to find a lawyer who is motivated and always willing to help on a contingency fee basis because most of them are money-driven, and without the money up front, the professional standards dissipate.

My 1st time ever needing a legal aid I choose Goldberg from Fresno ca, I made contact, got emails, did everything needed, signatures where made, then time goes by and by. I got a email, did wat was needed , time goes by got emailed with attachments about the names of who will be handling my case, blah blah ,blah, months ago 10/31/23, I believe was the begining of my case, well I haven't heard anything about my case, bottom line I got head injury on job, missed work because of injury, got separated from job , because I missed work I was sleeping and slept over I forgot 2 contact boss, but they knew if my injury, I have a light case and no body has got a hold 8f me Gabriel Aguilar? Maybe that's the last name, he's has poor work skills and he isn't cool
