On June 30, 2023 we contracted with Gold Standard Estate Sales to sell our beautiful furniture and most all of our personal belongings. We wanted a professional opinion for your upscale furnishings rather than selling personally.
We had been told that we could only expect $10000-$15000 for the sale being that everything was priced at $,20 cents on the dollar. We had contracted with Jimmy Etherton,, but he was only there half of the first day and then we never saw him again. He had inexperienced help, practically no coverage for the sale( 1 cashier and 2 other people to cover a 3000SF two story home with no supervision of potential buyers), no accountability for the sale, We discovered theft of numerous items unaccounted for, Help was unaware of what was for sale and what was not, leaving many rooms and items left for the dump truck. We then received a fraction of the amount of sale originally discussed.
We were aware that there was no guarantee, however we were shocked at the final amount. Therefore we were compelled to take Gold Standard Estate Sales to court and was awarded a judgement against Gold Standard which is currently in Default.
