This company is a total fraud, rip off! I don't know how they do the match, maybe by flipping a coin! but the matches I got, zero connection.

I bought a membership early this year (March) and I am stilling paying for this. The day of the introduction the lady was nice, the person who called me for the first date was cheerful and polite. After that, they don't answer the phone calls, they don't return the messages, they don't respond to the text. They just had ghost it me!

The only difference between this site and others is that they do "background check", nothing else. I was told that the membership includes one match a month. I got my first date like 2 weeks later. It wasn't a match, then i got the second date - that was a match from *** - we both agreed we weren't a match, and the agency didn't share any information about this person with me, just the name. When I asked for more information, I was told if I want more information, I have to pay an extra $1000 and If I want more dates a month, I have to pay extra $1500. what a joke! The 3rd and last date - almost at the end of June- wasn't a good match either. Since then, the agency just disappears and never returned my phone calls, messages, texts (that I saved on my phone). I didn't have any dates on June, at all or so far this month, July 2023. But I still have to keep paying for a service I am not receiving.

For other people out there looking for somebody special, stick with the best dating sites and stay away from Gold Coast Matchmakers - paying thousands of dollars just for a background check, is not worth it.!

It has come to my attention that these people do not stand in integrity. My mother spent a considerable amount of money with them.

She's not tech savvy. She's not on email much. She has been so sad and lonely since the loss of my father. Somehow, the amount of money spent must have made sense thinking that she would surely find a match for that level of investment.
Honestly...

I don't know how Melissa Cumpian sleeps at night. I'm sure in the decades of them doing business, there have been some successful matches. I can tell you that customer service is most certainly NOT their strong suit nor their primary concern. Just take a look at the way they respond to the current 15 complaints on the BBB.

It's very unprofessional, cold, argumentative, and down-right sophomoric.
To take advantage of an elder population, widows, and actually market to them only to end up taking money... it's disgusting. Their contract has been written in such a way that they are covered. They make it a habit of not addressing concerns or returning calls or making sure their clients, like my mother, understand what needs to be done.

They cover themselves though stating that if the clients don't return their calls after 3 attempts, the client can be suspended.
IF you think that spending this kind of money makes sense for you somehow, BUYER BEWARE... READ EVERY WORD OF THE CONTRACT... understand EXACTLY what you are buying into. READ ALL OF THE BBB COMPLAINTS and read how they choose to respond to them.

To me, that is tell-tale of the kind of people you are dealing with.
If they were above board, they would go out of their way to ensure that this particular client base would have some extra hand holding...

that their concerns would be addressed. For the amount of money they are effectively stealing from people like my mother, they should at least act like they care.
