Great Experience with Gods Movers

I have used Gods Movers 6 times since February of 2011 to October 28, 2015 and could not be happier. I have used them for moves locally in the Kansas City area and cross country to my homes in the Fort Worth, Texas area.

They have always done exactly what they said they would do, showed up on time and took the best care of my belongings. Everything has always arrived in the exact condition it left in. They are my go to company.

They have always answered my phone calls or returned my call within the hour. I have been on site during some of the moves and just sent them to take care of it themselves on others and I have always received the same great service.

Incompetent Movers

They are/were licensed to move furniture with Big Lots. Apparently after this incident, Big Lots in Waldo claims that they will not be using them anymore.

My apartment is tricky, and God's Movers told them that. I told them how my roommate had to move her couch. My roommate's couch was big. But it's a couch- her and her mother moved it up and down the balcony.

I told them this over the phone- they would have to move it up the balcony. The husband and wife owners and this young boy arrived to move this couch they claimed was very heavy. They claimed there was no way he could get it up the balcony and insisted it come through the door. Well after an hour of wrestling with the sofa to get through the door they finally got it in and it was ruined!

So they said Big Lots would reimburse me. Well after going back and forth with Big Lots and the movers for the past two hours, they just called and said they would leave a check with Big Lots for me to pick up later today. I hope to God that check doesn't bounce. Anyway, so it's sitting in my living room with holes in it and to get it down, they decide to throw it off the balcony.

This could have been moved so easily! It did not have to be thrown off the balcony! I hope they did not ruin any of the neighbor's patio furniture below me. It was so stressful and still is.

They had me pay up front - I can't believe I was so naive. But I did get the money back after an argument with the owner of the moving company. Ya, he had wrestled with it for an hour, but he ruined it and didn't take my advice. Had he taken my suggestions I would not have asked for a refund.

He is so mad that he will have to reimburse me for the sofa and I don't think he thought he would have to do that. When arguing with me about the money, he told me not to expect for them to ever come back out here even if I did get another piece of furniture from Big Lots (God's Movers works independently of Big Lots and Big Lots just suggests them, I guess). I said, "So if I let you keep the money and you come out and deliver another couch will you charge me?" He said, "Yes." WHAT?! BYE!!

Did I mention that while they were here they had about 7 bottles of water and handfuls from my candy jar! Those are for guests!!

The man kept saying that he couldn't believe I was sitting and drinking juice while he was sweating. Are you kidding me?

God's Movers are Incompetent and Dishonest

The owner and his wife are incompetent and dishonest. The move started with God's Movers (GM) showing up 3 hours late. We moved from a 3,000 sq. ft loft to a 2,800sq. ft townhome, one would think that would be a normal move. Due to mismanagement, workers not showing , the owner and workers arguing with one another and numerous other mistakes the move took 4 days.

The owner of the business, Robert admitted it was a horrible move and didn't charge us for the move because they broke our king- size bed ($3000), our china cabinet ($4,000). Robert said he would get our china cabinet fixed and deliver it to us and asked for me to get estimates on fixing the bed. Instead he held the china cabinet hostage for 6 months, then tried to charge me a $15/day storage fee. He nor his wife ever returned my phone calls and/or emails.

Six months later I receive a summons for small claims court and they were suing me for non-payment. GM lied in court under oath. Long story – short, the judge laughed them out of court and made them give me back the china cabinet. DO NOT EVER USE God's Movers, they truly take the lord's name in vain!

WARNING do NOT give all the money up front!!!!!! They under estimated how much stuff my friend had (even though they agreed via contract for the job at the price THEY bid) and demanded more money.

She would not agree to giving more money (which may I add they demanded at 9:30pm via paypal) and they delivered 3/4 her belongings to her new home 6 hours away leaving her stranded to find another mover to move her other 1/4 belongings. Her husband passed away about 6 months earlier and I feel they took advantage of her, and am extremely disappointed with their unprofessional way of dealing with moving. She could sue them for breaching the contract, but she isn't. Use them at your own cost and do not let their 'Christian values' fool you.

The Lord would not leave a widow stranded with only 3/4 her belongings while under contract for the whole job and demand more money. VERY POOR BUSINESS. Also scratched up the wall pretty bad and lied about what was supposed to moved to begin with. Why in the world would someone ask to move but not say everything in the house is being moved??

Robert played the blame game with who's at fault instead of being GODLY and apologizing.

It was never his fault for only getting 1 truck, while 2 were OBVIOUSLY needed! I'm not a professional mover and I could see that!
