Transfer of timeshare
- - 2019: traded 1 week of Raintree for Palace
- - 2023: Raintree Vacation Club bills maintenance; ownership not transferred; GlobalTransfer unresponsive.
In 2019 we traded in our timeshare 1 week with Raintree resorts for Palace resorts. Now we are in 2023 and are still dealing with Raintree Vacation Club billing us for maintenance fees.
Have called and emailed GlobalTransfer Inc many times and they have still not transferred ownership. This has cost us alot of money and aggravation. Palace resorts also will not help. They keep referring us back to Global.
What a mess the person I was working with is Lisa Garcia and now Im being transferred to Laura. Still no answers.
- That they do not follow through with contract
Preferred solution: That they transfer owner ship of our timeshare.
User's recommendation: Do not use for any service

Verified ReviewerWork not completed after 3 years
- - I have waited since 2019 for a timeshare title transfer with Country Hideaway.
- - It has been three years, with $900 in fees; the transfer isn't complete.
Over March and April 2022, I have emailed, called, and written letters to Global Resort Transfer. They have never responded.
Since 2019 I have been waiting for Global Resort Transfer to complete the title transfer for a time-share with Country Hideaway Condo Assn. After 3 years all I have gotten is a $900 in fees and the run around. I have called and emailed many, many times and still, 3 years later, my transfer is not complete.
- Do not follow through with their committments
Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered
User's recommendation: Do not do business with Global Resort Transfer or their affiliates.
They wont give you the incentives after transfer is complete
- - Two incentives unpaid after file closure; Laura Acosta does not respond; history of return checks linked to Sean Singletary.
Last Year I got timeshares from Sean Singletary a Broker from Florida. He uses email address seanstimeshares@***.com who is a seller of timeshares at EBAY. When I purchased the timeshares a person named Elizabeth Carvajal a person that works at Global Resort Transfer was the one handling all my files. This year she quit the company and Laura Acosta Manager took over my files problem is Laura is giving me huge round a rounds for the incentives they owe me. I still have 2 incentives that have not been sent to me even though the files closed months ago. I have emailed Laura Acosta even requested a call back and she never does either or. They have a long history of return checks and customers not sent the incentive checks. All you have to do is research the title company and you will see tons of complaints about that.
Also according to my bank as of 5/15/2019 it seems the last incentive of $250 is going to bounce. But this has not been confirmed yet till the end of the week.
When you ask the workers about the issue of return checks they say that's normal in a company to have return checks. But not to be concern about return checks because they always get paid on time.
One thing that is superweird is that this title company does not use Escrow to store the incentives and a lot of the issues the title company has point back to Sean a broker from Florida.
If you ask me according to my research they are both not running a legal business. I would look into Sean as well the broker from Florida.
All I want is my incentives that they owe me and hope for not returned checks.
Laura Acosta has always avoided to contact me on the phone. According to personal, she works from 10 am to 2 pm most of the time Eastern time.

Poor Customer Contract Service
- - 2016: traded Grand Bliss for Grand Luxxe; surrendered 3 memberships.
- - 2017: Westgate ROFR exercised; deed filed; no Bel Air transfer status.
On February 8, 2016 I attended a Member Update Presentation at Vida Vacations (which is the timeshare sales division of Grupo Vidanta) in Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit (Mexico). I owned a one bedroom at the Grand Bliss (a Vidanta Resort), and agreed to trade into the Grand Luxxe Residential Loft (another Vidanta Resort).
Vida Vacations provided an equity credit, and I agreed to surrender 3 timeshares: Condominio Solamar Inn (in Mazatlan, Sinaloa (Mexico)); Westgate Towers (in Kissimmee, FL (USA)); and Bel Air Collection (MPV 25095)(which operates several resorts in Mexico). At the time of the equity trade-in at Vida Vacations and later through email correspondence with Global Resort Transfer, I mentioned that Westgate Resorts had enacted a Right of First Refusal policy, several years after I purchased my timeshare. It would have cost more money to trade-in my timeshare with Solamar Inn, so I elected the option of buying back my timeshare rights with Solamar Inn from Global Resort Transfer. At this point the Westgate Towers and the Bel Air membership were assigned to Global Resort Transfer.
In 2017, more than a year after the upgrade at Vida Vacations, Global Vacation Trade found a buyer for the Westgate Towers timeshare (which was presented to Westgate Resorts). On June 27, 2017 Westgate Resorts elected to exercise their Right of First Refusal. On September 14, 2017 Westgate Resorts indicated they had submitted the appropriate documentation to the County to transfer the deed. Then on November 7th, I received an email from Elizabeth Carvajal (for Global Resort Transfer) indicating she had found another buyer.
Since Westgate had already exercised their option, the email from Ms. Carvajal had no logic. Now it is early December 2017, and I have never received a status report on the Bel Air Collection membership transfer. Bel Air Collection has sent an invoice for the 2017 and 2018 maintenance fees, which has not been paid.
The agreement (as executed at Vida Vacations) was that I would be responsible for the 2016 maintenance fee, but not for future year maintenance fees. I believe Global Resort Transfer has intentially delayed finding an owner for the Bel Air Collections membership. It appears to me that Global Resort Transfer operates a "silent auction", with $1 USD as the minimum bid. Eventually, somebody agrees to pay a dollar (plus any fees/late charges) to become the new owner of a timeshare.
I agreed to pay $350 USD for filing fees, and $500 USD for processing fee to Global Vacation Trade.
It is Global Vacation Trade OR Global Resort Transfer's responsibility to find an owner of the Bel Air Collection membership. I was never informed that Global Vacation Trade would take more than 21 months to complete their contractual obligations.
Short Review on October&nbs-04:00;17,&nbs-04:00;2016
I've had nothing but great things to say about. My tranfer went great. Ive no issue with them.
Global Resort Transfer ineffective and costly to transfer timeshare
- - Palace Resorts contracted Global Resort Transfer for Mountainside Lodge week.
- - The 14-month transfer has been slow.
- - I must pay 2012 fees; $873 owed.
We bought a membership to Palace Resorts in January, 2011 based on their agreement to take ownership of our timeshare week. Palace Resorts contracted with Global Resort Transfer to take our timeshare week at Mountainside Lodge. The past 14 months have been a nightmare attempting to complete the transfer. Global Resort Transfer rarely responds to emails or phone calls.
Their neglect has now resulted in my responsibility to pay 2012 maintenance fees. They owe me $873. They have refused to pay the fees, instead blaming Mountainside Lodge. I've been copying member services at Palace Resorts hoping they will intervene.
