Horrible customer service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have been using Global Media for my website. My website has been down several days or more, and all i get is a recording, I have been trying to contact them for about three months , and did get a call back days later, and they left a message.

They state they have 24/7 customer service, but no one ever answers the phone. I am extremely unhappy with them.

I pay them $ 29.00 per month and they dont even check my website to make sure its up and running. I wonder how much business I lost because of this.

They Lie

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Just like everybody else here i think this place should be closed down. They steal right out of our pockets and say they are going to put the ad out and they do, but they do not market that ad they just throw it out there into cyberspace and wait for us to complain then they give us an ohhhh ahhh story have us try again and still no luck but they are happy because they didn't do anything different and still suckered another month out of us.

I bet this company has zero marketing people and a sea of phone people, half making calls and the other half making excuses. They are also going through a name change to get away from the bad publicity their new name is "Advantage Media Partners" but they should just call themselves thieves.

Global Media Customer Care Review

I've never been spoken to rudely by a telemarketer until now. I asked them to remove me from their list and after he said "their is no list", "you must not want to grow your business" and "you can just hang up".

I asked for his name and employee #. He responded that to call me "was freedom of speech ***" and hung up.

They signed me up for $500 plus $100 set up. I was to receive materials in 3 business days.

Basically they are going after experts and selling them a service that if somebody searches a term that could refer to you you get a free ad and a click. Waited 4 days. Nothing. Tried to contact.

Agent email said showed me as activated and having three clicks. Tried to contact customer service, no response. Cancelled credit card received bank credit. This is a scam.

Good luck in getting your money back.

They are selling a three month $500 per month program. Very very very convincing people on the phone.

What a Scam company

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I had similar issues as others: they called me representing Google advertising. They committed to top search placement for my keywords for vacation travel.

THey wanted a budget of $400 per month, spent daily, with cancelling and shut down at any time options (if property is full I don't want to run ads). They committed a campaign plan and a metrics tool. They took my money and never got back to me-no email or return phone calls. Was on hold several times trying to get someone.

After two weeks I cancelled thinking it was a scam. I filed a report with Chase, on my cc. Then they sicced a collections agency on me.

The collections agency said "this is very serious and already they have spent more than they are collecting to go after me and won't drop it".

Seems like they have their priorities screwed up.

The scam everyone is claiming it to be

I've had the same exact issues that have been relayed above.

I first came in contact with Global Media Advertising in October 2014. They promised a website and prominent position on a Google search with a certain phrase. I called to cancel several times and they always offered to upgrade or tweak my account so I would see results. I have several hundred dollars in the game so I tried to be patient so it would pay off. The last email communication I received was 1/21/15 which prompted me to call finally cancel.

I called today when I realized they have continued to charge my account. The charges weren't noticed by the bookkeeper. I called Charles who agrees that I called on that day but insists I didn't cancel. My further proof is that there was no further communication from them after that date.

Global Media is a SCAM

I took a free trial with their advertising and was told I would get a status on how many people visited our site within 2 weeks. I never got an email because they don't let you get their email address that way.

The only way to cancel is to call their 800 number which seems to not be answered. I called repeatedly 2 days before they were going to run my credit card and the phone number just rings a fast ring over and over again until you get a busy signal. You can't cancel and stop the payment unless you can get them to answer. Gladly, our bank did not have enough balance to run through the $387 charge so they sent me an email asking for me to pay another way.

As if I would give them another card number to scam me. Don't anyone sign up for the service. We did not get even one lead or call during the whole month of the trial. Why ever would I have wanted to invest in another month!

When you try to contact them through their website, the only thing you can do is leave your name and number and hope they call you back. I did leave that info, but no call back was made to me.

Don't get fooled by these guys. We did have at least one day of first page Goggle, but obviously one day won't get you leads!

Global Media Advertising, I believe, is a scam. Worthless product, horrible cancellation ...

Global Media Advertising did not deliver the product promised. The technology to set up and manage a website does not work.

Sales people ignored my cancellation request before the end of the lower priced trial period - sending me to another phone extension where I was left on hold until disconnected, repeatedly. They are smart, you can only communicate by telephone and they control the phone. I ended up having to cancel my credit card to get charges to stop!!!

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER deal with a company where only means of communication available is by phone. Next stop, Attorney General's Office!

The sales people are the best of the worst. They can actually make you feel like it is your fault - and then they get another month ...

Stay away, it's a scam. Check BBB on line for proof !

I called to cancel my service this morning and was on hold for 12 minutes waiting for a customer service rep. After repeatedly telling the car what I wanted to cancel, she still was trying to sell me on staying.

I finally got angry and told her I didn't want to hear anything else from her unless it was a cancellation code. She acted indignant! By then I had been on the phone for almost 17 minutes.

I was told that I would receive a cancellation notice in an email.

We will see. I went to file a complaint with the BBB and they are not members. Even so, they have a c- rating.

Stay away from this company. Great salespeople, *** product.

I worked for the company and they don't pay their employees. It's not a good company and yes it's a scam.

They closed the office where I worked with no notice. They walked in and out everyone out and didn't pay use for the 5 hours worked.

Guest

Me too. I filed complaints with Google and other places.

Linktech/Global Media Advertising

I called Linktech/Global Media Advertising today to cancel. The person who answered the phone found my account but repeatedly asked why I was canceling.

This happened at least 5 or 6 times...with me saying JUST CANCEL...I don't want to answer any questions about why I am canceling. When I mentioned a complaint was going to be filed with my state Attorney General, he got his supervisor on the phone. The supervisor also wanted to argue about my complaint, and why I was canceling.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. I am filing a complaint.

I have reviewed each and every complaint on this worthless scam company. They currently have bilked me out of $198 based upon unscrupulous methodology and a purely worthless product embedded with scan customer service processes as outlined in numerous websites found by simply searching for "complaints Global Media Advertising".

I am not bluffing when I say I will file a complaint and any other legal maneuvers with the State AG of Oregon and even though I am not a hugely wealthy individual, I will spend 10 times this to get a legal action in process and stop this type of scam that feeds on trusting individuals who fall prey to their unsavory practices.

Guest

Same here. They promised me Google advertising, even though he said he was sorry he couldn't find my ad, that I still had to pay. Check out the rip off report from the employee that worked there and the cons they hire to take your credit card information.

Guest

I had the EXACT same experience. Please beware of this company and do user any of their services.

They will tell you that they can not cancel an account until the call is completed and then refuse to let the call end!

My advice to those trying to cancel - Get the name of who you are talking to and then interrupt everything they say and ask if they will be sending a cancellation confirmation email.

When they say yes, tell them you will be expecting that email and hang up. Worked for me...I got the email.

Guest

I have been trying to cancel. When the website was created the wrong e-mail address was entered.

I have tried numerous times to correct unsuccessfully. Therefore, no referrals have been received. I can't get them on the phone. Several times I have been placed on hold for long periods of time and now it rings then goes to a busy signal.

I'm fighting with my bank to get my money back and the next payment is due.

I wouldn't recommend to anybody. Its a scam.

Guest

I wished I had seen this site before I signed up. They are a TOTAL RIPOFF!!!!!

I tried to call and cancel and the line just goes dead.

Now I have to deal with my cc company, which is wonderful, to get the charges removed.

DO NOT USE this company.

Guest

I had an identical experience. They won't stop selling their product when you want to cancel.

They kept me on the phone pushing me to keep the service. Don't waste your time.

I received absolutely no benefit for the money I spent and then to have to getmadto be able to get them to simply CANCEL. They are desperate!

Guest

GLOBAL MEDIA ADVERTISING'S business practices are completely DISGRACEFUL! I had the same experience trying to cancel my service following my local area being devastated by Hurricane Sandy.

I tried to cancel my service explaining that I presently had other pressing concerns nor the time or the budget to continue the service. I spent an inordinate amount of time on the phone and the “customer service” representatives were completely uncooperative in canceling and told me my service would be extended "free of charge" until 12/12/12. However, upon calling to cancel today they told me that I was already billed for the following month and that Global Media Advertising could not issue a refund, credit or even pro-rate my fee for the “alleged” 4 past billing days. They were relentless in trying to convince me to keep the service.

Many people in my area have lost everything and Global Media’s conduct in light of recent events is simply deplorable. My time could have been much better spent trying to find housing for people who lost everything, rather than spending hours trying to cancel a service and now having to file a formal complaint against this HORRIBLE UNSCRUPULOUS COMPANY!

Your company just called me trying to get my cc. Thank goodness I was on my computer googling your reputation.

I noticed that this response you posted "we are sorry to hear, bla bla bla" is the auto response you generate. you want the poor souls to call your 800 number again??? for what??

more aggravation?? shame on you.

I can not believe you are sincere in your apology. My very difficult experience trying to cancel my account is CLEARLY standard operating procedure for your company.

I have seen too many other complains of calls mysteriously being disconnected, and endless arguing about cancelling services to believe my experience was unique.

The only possible conclusion is that you have no intention of providing a "premium experience". In fact that statement is laughable.
