Scam to phish for personal information
- - Robo voicemail claimed a pending claim with file 119944 and urgent callback 844-627-****; it was a scam.
I received a Robo voicemail stating that in accordance with State and Federal regulations that I was hereby notified that I had a pending claim against me and indicated a file number of 119944 and that it was urgent I or my attorney contact number 844-627-****. When I called back the "agent" from the "legal department" who had children screaming in the background initially answered the phone with "Hello?" and then quickly realized she made a mistake and spouted off "Global Financial Services" and asked for my name and file number.
To that, I simply said I knew this call was a scam and she was phishing for information. I said that I knew for a fact there was no State or Federal case against me. She in turn stated she didn't appreciate my attitude!
What a joke!!! I just laughed and hung up.
Folks, don't be rushed to give out personal information based on fear and/or intimidation.
