So I gave him the bag of pears to throw out. He offered no apology just that it was their policy. Not shopping there anymore as I wasted money before and didn't try to return except this time.

Price gouging

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

their grocery item prices are significantly higher than almost every other store. i will only buy produce here.

and i agree with the other consumers that the managers don't seem to care about your complaints at all - regardless of what is wrong, they brush you off and tell you to shop elsewhere. i have had negative experiences in both farmingdale and commack locations.

Bathroom not adhering to hygiene standards

Hello,

I would like to get your attention on your store in Port Jefferson. I love Guintas stores and fresh products; I practically shop ever week there.

But the store in Port Jefferson really needs the women's bathroom (and probably men's bathroom) to be renovated; currently it is really disgusting and does not adhere to hygiene standards. Especially that the female employees break room is in the same location just next to the bathroom.

I have notified the store manager, your hotline, two emails to that store via your website but I got no response or results. Please help to clean and renovate the backrooms to make it match the quality of your fresh products.

Grievance with manager

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Manager refused to hear me out when I was complaining that he gave me lotto ticket incorrect. Told me to go somewhere else if I didn't like the way he did things.

Didn't even want to hear what I was complaining about, it was an easy fix but he blew up and told me I can shop somwhere else.

What kind of manager are they hiring if they don't even want to hear the customer out. Never again will I shop at Meatfarms again.

Coupon denied

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Did my weekly food shopping at Giuntas Meat Farm as always for 50 plus years.

I purchased, steaks, cold cuts, drinks, produce, etc.

Handed the cashier coupon for Hormel

food product, which I purchased.

The women in charge first said we dont take that, then said it had to be packaged food, really, that's not what the coupon says, she says well I really didnt read it.

Which is it, give me a reason, couldn't answer.

Well, I said take it off my receipt.

I don't appreciate this kind of customer service when I'm online.

Tomorrow I will return the steaks, cold cuts and whatever else is not open.

After 50years of shopping at Meat Farms, I will be going to North Shore Farms, their store in neater, cleaner and the workers are very pleasant.

Is the Hauppauge store really closing ?

I fine that the salad at the deli dont last . For example when I get the chicken salad it lasts about 1 to 2 days .

The potatoes salad most times the potatoes arent cooked enough. I shop at the Holbrook store.

I call another store and spoke to the manager it was the Commack store he told me that the salad should last 4-5 days . It looks like they just keep filling the trays with some of the old stuff

User's recommendation: I still go it's close. But I know that if I order a salad we must eat it with in 1-2 days .

Supervisor is a corona virus Hazard

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

For context of my claim Im specifically speaking of the branch in Farmingdale Long Island. I am dating someone who works at that specific branch as a cashier.

I am speaking on their behalf because theyre too scared of losing their job to speak about this issue. When my partner tries to call in sick theyre either threatened to have their job taken away. Or just given unnecessary, snippy, and disrespectful attitude. While forcing an employee to come into work when they arent feeling well, it can cause that employee or others to become a carrier for corona.

I know we all want to keep our loved ones safe. Which is why Im writing this. This will stop being an issue when this person stops this behavior or is fired from the company. Personally I wouldnt hate the company, I would hate the person thats putting more people in danger.

Ps. One of the managers is sexist and is completely disrespectful to most of the females working there.

I purchased a watermelon in Jan.after cutting it open it was rotten. I chalked it up as i did not pick a good one.

I purchased another one in Feb.2018 and again rotten, I called the store to complain and was told what do you expect they are out of season So if they are out of season and you know they are not good why are you selling them.

I spend at least over$100.00 a week their in Farmingdale, this is the 3rd time i am reaching out and still no response. I will not be shopping there again.

I agree. If they aren't good, don't sell them at $6 each!

I just bought my 3rd, (same experience). I thought they shipped them in from wherever IS the season.

Giuntas Meat Farm - Giunta's Meat Farm

If you click the link you will see how we got ripped off at Giunta's Meat Farm in Bohemia NY

When we opened the roast beef package we saw what you see in the image. It's ready for a toss into the garbage. This is the roast beef which they call their "best!"

I wouldn't feed it to my dog...if I had one!

They at Giunta's Meat Farm told me that when roast beef becomes a few days old it "grows fat on it!"

Are they idiots or what?

They refuse to refund our money. Maye things are so bad there that they really need it!

DON'T BUY ANYTHING THERE!

They NEVER clean the slicers except at night. During the day you get slime in your cold cuts from the greasy remnants of the mixture of different meats which were cut prior to yours!
