Bogus return policy

I recently bought a kitchen countertop from Ginnos appliance in Chico, Ca. and had intended to buy a bath countertop as well. Due to a glitch in the cabinetry for my hall bath - I had to cancel out the solid surface counter. I did so in writing 1 month prior. They had no cost in this cancellation but charged me a $150 freight charge and a $200 restocking fee. I'm a senior on social security and had to pay this ridiculous fee - although they did negotiate it down to $289 which I paid under protest since I didn't want my credit affected. Terrible business policy. I tried every way I could to get them to drop this bogus charge but they refused. I would never recommend them to anyone.
