The customer service is non-existent. They just ignore you.
I was told I would have a response within 5 working days to a problem with a handset I purchased (which is faulty in several ways), and I still haven't had a response.
I can't afford to be without a working phone, so I am considering buying from another company and writing off the wasted money with giffgaff. Truly a hopeless company.

I'd been with GiffGaff for years when they cut off my SIM without any warning, pocketed all credit on my account, and refused to reactivate my number. After multiple emails with support I was told that it might be possible to transfer my number to another provider, but GiffGaff had no interest in retaining me as a customer nor returning my stolen credit.
I am currently abroad so cannot even activate a new SIM--leaving me without a working phone. Bizarre business policy to be sure.
