Received new remote for our electric fireplace today.

The new remote works 100% better than the one that came with the fireplace. We really enjoy our fireplace and cabinet in our "cozy" room with the TV. Thank you, Bruce and Terri Barton brucekbarton@***.com Love Love

Don't waste your time!

worst customer service EVER! been on the hold for over 10 minutes! stove isn't worth the headaches. It broke down 2days short of 2yrs and hasn't worked right since. The circuit board died and the replacement part uses twice the fuel! I'm still on hold! 25minutes! I'm kind of talking with a customer rep who has put me back on HOLD!!!!!!! I DON'T THINK THE STOVE IS WORTH THE PROBLEMS IT TAKES.

Complain about the product

Actually pretty helpful

I've some problems with my stove (I'm on my third stove - usually running two at a time) but GHP reps have always been actually really helpful. I'm a pretty handy chick when left to my own devices, but GHP reps have always given me pointers on what I need to do to solve a problem while waiting for replacement parts (it's my only heat source so I need this thing working!). I was deafened the last week because the convection blower was out of whack and they are sending me parts and told me how to quiet the stove in the meantime - totally worked! I'm warm and most replacement parts that are out of stock can be ordered by styovepartsunlimited in wyoming if you take the part out and compare pictures. Overall - super happy with GPH customer service - 6 years with them and plan on staying.

Defective blower

Customer service is poor at best. Long wait for phone help. Have to send in a paper receipt for product before any replacement or refund in this day & age of computers?!! They already have the info, but want your paper receipt first! What a crock & bad business model! D-- at best! Wtf

Wow, what horrible customer service. I have called in twice trying to get the insulation that was left out of the box. Had to stay on hold 25 minutes the first time before I got anyone on the line.He wanted the model number which is not even on the product. Found that online and called back as It states in their manual to call before returning to your retailer......what a crock. No they won't send unless you send them the receipt which I don't have since it was purchased over six months ago. Told them I would send a photo of the unit in my living room but that's not good enough. Will not buy their products again ever!!!

Not a good experience

I bought my pellet stove in 2013 I have had nothing but issues with the blower. I have had two sent to me plus the one in the stove none of them work right they make a nasty sound they also have sent me the barings for this stove and it still makes this awful noise. I feel like they have a defect in there blowers and fail to recognize there is a problem. This is not the only issue I have had the fire pot has cracks in it after only two years of use, so I called them last fall and they say they will warrantee it as long as i send them pics I tell the associateI am visually impaired so I can't cause I can't even see the fire pot cause its black so needless to say I call back this winter and tell them again the fire pot is in bad shape and he tells me its no longer in warantee. At this point I ask to speak to a manager and he tells me ill put you thru to him but he is probably not going to answer isn't that nice. These stoves have severe issues also when I called last fall I believe they told me i would have to wait because the fire pots were on back order and he didn't know when I would be able to get one. I am just so frusterated with this company needless to say would I buy another one of these stoves no.

GHP Group Inc - Pellet Stove Review from Camden, Maine

We bought a pellet stove manufactured from GPH called Pleasant Hearth. The poor construction of this stove is apparent by them placing defective silicone parts in a product which *** out within a year if you're lucky. Call their customer service department for further confirmation of this company's incompetence. Sending them a message via their website results in a huge zero response, call customer service and expect to wait 40 plus minutes. If you still have a battery left in your cell phone or patience you might speak to someone who's first language is English and understands the problem. Don't expect a straight answer about parts, these bozos have NOTHING IN STOCK! Virtually everything is on back order expected on Monday of the filling week. Which translates into 4 weeks if they feel like it. Shipping it by FedEx ground when you've waited already 3 weeks for a warranted part for something which heats your home is adding insult to injury. My part is still sitting in Ohio and scheduled to arrive on MARCH 4TH. I am contacting the BBB and FTC. Doubt they'll help me any more than GHP but where as we are freezing with a $2000 pellet stove that doesn't work I have no options.

Pellet stove caught fire, caught house on fire. Company will do nothing to resolve issue

Pleasant hearth pellet stove made by ghp group Inc sells pellet stoves at lowes home improvement stores. I had one for two weeks and it had an electrical malfunction. The stoves electrical caught fire causing fire damage to my home and smoke damage to everything inside. I called the company and told them that this was my only source of heat and I lost a lot of my kids clothes and the smoke almost killed me and my child, they did not care they referred me to a lawyer. Fowler law group who did nothin, send an insurance adjsiter and is making me jump through hoops. What a bad company ghp group inc located in IL.
