Business customer orders BEWARE

IF YOU ARE ORDERING BUSINESS ORDERS, PLEASE READ MY COMPLAINT FIRST! I placed an order on November 5th and received the order on November 7th, very fast, which was great! I ordered 15 cases of chocolate gift bags to give to our customers during the holidays. The order I received in the mail was incorrect. In addition to the incorrect boxes, the items listed on the packaging slip were correct, which leads me to believe that the packing slip is ignored. I understand mistakes are made, but I don’t think I should be responsible to do any work to correct Ghirardelli's mistake. When I called in to notify a representative about the mistake, they stated that I must repackage the boxes, print labels and take time out of work to drive the boxes to a Fed Ex location to have them mailed back. On top of this, upon their receipt of said boxes, they will THEN send me my CORRECT boxes. I am very disappointed in this requirement. The 3 correct boxes won’t be mailed to my company IMMEDIATELY because Ghirardelli wants to make sure they get the 3 incorrect boxes back first. I assume (potentially) loosing the 3 boxes of product is more important than loosing a business customer. I know that this is not a really big order, but I assure you, it will be our last. We are a company that has been in business for over 30 years. This is the FIRST year I decided to purchase our gifting chocolate with Ghirardelli, we have been loyally ordering with Sees Company for many years, and I was really looking forward to having Ghirardelli's product given to our long standing customers. I will make sure the companies we work with are aware of my disappointment with Ghirardelli, in addition to individuals I know personally. I will not send back the incorrect boxes, I will not use the products I did get, I would rather they sit in our storage and rot. I will instead go back to order with See's Candies, and will take comfort knowing I will get in the mail what I DID in fact order! -Angry business customer in Marin County, California
