Scammers!!

For the past month, we have been getting calls from this company, Get Easy Tech. They claim they are with the Computer Maintenance Department of Windows Operating system.

The phone number on Caller ID shows as 9-1777 (Out of Area). All reps who have called us are Indians (from India, not Native Americans). They claim that our computer is running slow and having problems because of a known Windows problem and asked if we are aware of it. When asked which of our computers has the problem, they state, "all of them".

They claim to have the unique serial numbers from our computers from the manufacturer and they would not have received the request to call us, unless we were having a problem. I have no idea what the scam is but I know our computers are not having any problems and our home phone number is unlisted and we are on the National Do Not Call list. They did somehow know my legal first name. When I asked to be removed from their calling list, the lady was rude and pushy.

I told her I was going to report her to our State and she said I couldn't and continued to try and push.

I asked repeatedly to be removed from their list and to stop calling us but she kept pushing and I finally yelled at her to stop calling us and hung up. I'm so tired of this kind of stuff as well as the political robo calls that I think I'll just cancel our telephone service.

Staples EasyTech does not have any call center in India. They are in the midwest and Halifax, Nova Scotia. -- Sounds more like someone trying to rip off the EasyTech brand name.

Get Easy Tech

On July 3, 2012, I was called by Easy Tech because they said that I had numerous files that were making my computer run slowly. I paid them 35.00 for 1 month to fix the problem.

Never pay them a dime because, they deleted most of the files that I was supposed to have. They worked on it July 3 for approximately 6 hours and then again on July 4th for over an hour. Northing returned. I had to restore everything myself.

I requested my money back and was told that I would receive it on July 5th. I had better because if not, I'm calling my card and having them go after Easy Tech. They are idiots and the next time they call me, they'll have one pissed off person on their hands.

I'll take my computer repair elsewhere, like I should have done in the first place, like Cobalt. Don't trust them, they are a scam.

Same thing happened to me. They tried to use Western Union to refund and when I called my bank they said money was being pulled out not refunded.

Needless to say I canceled that card.

According to WU a common fraud. DO NOT TRUST Get Easy Tech!!
