Incompetence

Gersy Garcia's group was hired to remodel our two full bathrooms starting with the guest bathroom, then our master bathroom after finalizing the guest bathroom. His crew consist of his elderly father, cousin, and nephew. First and foremost, never hire workers that are family connected not capable of understanding, or speaking a word of English being Gersy the so - called project manager, the only one able to communicate with us. To make a long story short, we are still correcting several mistakes and damages they caused that visually is the work of beginners. We were assured that their work and end results would make us, "VERY HAPPY" That couldn't be farther from the truth. They couldn't make straight tile cuts all the way down to properly caulking. Unfortunately, the wall and floor tile, door installation all that was poorly installed which cannot be corrected without tearing it apart and starting over. Also, they have no respect for your property, how they leave a mess each day's end of work. They destroyed our wooden deck needing serious repairs, not protecting the surface area where they conducted their saw cuttings. Gersy refused to return to correct the issues, stating,"It will cost me too much money to fix the multiple problems." All problems that were valid complaints. We had to contact his insurance, with the insurance adjuster who visited our home was very surprised of what she observed and apologized for what we experienced. We are not happy having to look at the unprofessional work performed. Be careful with the smooth talking young punk who gives the good contractors a bad name. Thank God, he didn't get to start our major bathroom! User's recommendation: Never

Hi Gary Buffard, this is Gersy owner of the company! I have read this complaint and here’s my side of the story.

We started your front bathroom everything was going well. You decided to purchase your own materials and how this situation was starting to cause me stress because you the place you went to didn’t send the right materials. SECONDLY, your front bath vanity you purchased it used at a yard or store what is Can you expect from used stuff most of the time? You would frustrate to even pick the color of the paint for the walls and you mentioned to me you wouldn’t even sleep now for us contractors who provide our services these are major red flags.

THIRDLY, you decided to go with a local plumber and you said they were a reputable company what happens next? They did not installed the bathtub correctly and the shower fixture and the inspector did not notice it I had to find that out on my own we could’ve installed the tile and leave the tub as it was but I had to bring it to your attention “. What did you do next? You fired them and then who was responsible for the plumbing work now?

Me. I had to obtain the plumbing permit which you didn’t want me to do in the beginning. The tiles were installed correctly and no caulk required and not grout. We only replaced the door slab not the frame and you old frame of as out Of plumb.

Now you are saying your deck was ruined? All it had was dust on the surface and you know why we didn’t clean it because per your request “YOU GUYS CAN CLEAN IT AFTER YOU ARE DONE WITH THE JOB” You still owe me money for materials I paid roughly $850.00 there’s always more than one side in a story.
