Zoom meetings waste of time

You are training medical clinicians to interview clients using Zoom. These are poor disabled women and your students know nothing about us.

They sit in their rooms twice as large as ours and pretend they can offer advice just looking at our FACES. Their psychology social service coursework does not require them to consider how the holistic picture works together: obesity, unemployed, past abuse, trauma, communication and cultural differences, DC cues, hypocrisy, time allocation, interests, diet, general health, meds, house culture, covid, religion, etc all work to deter or obstruct love and understanding. What about creating an interest form? How about some music?

The interaction resembles Hollywood squares with the stars ready to collect their easy As on top. Gee even I had to work harder for my grades. Sorry Dr. Handler, and please dont retaliate on me.

I just think its a pity these meetings are not going too well like Facebook popularity contest. And yes your shooting us down is not fun neither.

Zoom bad for medical students

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Our residential home receives clinical services but the quality for medical students coursework in the field is going down thanks to COVID and ZOOM. The students were supposed to provide us advice on incontinence and they showed us about 5 power point slides.

All it basically amounted to was learning to do Kegel exercises. We have deeper underlying issues with this client's including obesity, depression, trauma, abuse, substance abuse, homelessness, mental health, past factors in suicidal ideation, cancer, and there were no linkups from these with incontinence. They did not pursue the need or why drinking more juices water smoothies might be related. No attempt to segway into the quality of our lives Why?

Because they are each sitting in their plush student housing surroundings, maybe a home or sitting area, so they can't really SENSE what life is like here! For future training this course is "just an easy A" for them and you can sense how smug they feel being able to tell us how to do some exercises.

Waste of my time! I can get better info off the Internet!
