DO NOT USE GEORGE's FLOWERS!!!!
I spent countless HOURS working with Doug from George's flowers to plan my wedding. While I had believed we had a professional and friendly relationship, at the end of our negotiations (literally awaiting the final quote) and only days to go before my wedding, I received a short message from Doug telling me they were dropping my event because they were overbooked on my wedding day. They did not even bother to tell me upfront of the possibility that others could book me out and did not offer me an option of holding the date with a deposit. Now I am left with absolutely NO decorations and little to no time to plan. THIS BEHAVIOR IS HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL and DISRESPECTFUL TO CUSTOMERS. Good luck to the other events who booked with George's, with this kind of service, you will be lucky if George's even shows up.

Georges Flowers in Roanoke scammed me and my 9 year old daughter.
Georges Flowers in Roanoke Va is the worst florist I have ever used. Beware of Georges Flowers! I ordered some balloons and a kids "junk food basket" fro them for my 9 year old daughters birthday while I was out of town in July 2010. Georges flowers in Roanoke delivered my little girl expired food in the basket and a big GOLF balloon and a barney balloon? I asked for birthday balloons that say happy birthday on them. Why would a 9 year old GIRL want a golfer balloon, plus since when did the purple Barney guy become a current 9 years old girls idol? The expired food in the basket was a cherry on top! I called georges flowers when I got back in to town and the owner was very very rude on the phone and would not refund us our $91.00 that I paid for the expired food and wrong items delivered. He dared me to complain online and treated e with the most disrespect that I have ever seen. There are dozens of other florist in the area, next time I will NOT use georges flowers! Beware if you order from this place!

This young lady, who wished to remain anonymous is skewing the truth a bit. She never met me face to face but only a phone call and several e-mails.
She was evasive when asked questions, changed her venue at least once, was attempting to play me against a competitor, and never got far enough in the process for me to provide a complete quote. Meanwhile another customer came in to the shop, and in one meeting finalized her floral details, payed a deposit and booked the same day.
If Miss Anonymous spent countless hours on this, it wasn't with me because I only devoted about an hour total, and have no idea what she even looks like.
Ultimately, she didn't even get married. Hmmmm, wonder why.
