Geocomfort is Junk
- - Compressor failed, A-coil rusted.
- - Dehydrator motor failed; water leaked.
- - Valve failed; $600.
- - Box rusted inside.
- - Air filter hard to find; parts outdated.
Compressor failed. A-coil rusted out.
Dehydrator motor failed and leaked water all over basement. 1other valve for 600 dollars failed. Air filter hard to find. Box is rusted inside.
Replacement parts are original junk not updated. 11k to buy. 7k to fix and still junk.
Installed in 2005. Junk in 2018.
Repeat failures, mid 2000's era Geo-Comfort=JUNK
- - First unit: compressor failed after warranty; discount fix.
- - Second unit: 2 A-coils, one under warranty.
- - Last unit: 6-ton zoned lost compressor.
We have 3 systems in our home, the first one had a compressor failure...just outside of the 5 year warranty, paid some money & they fixed at a discounted rate. The second unit has had 2 bad A-coils...1 under warranty.
The last unit a 6 ton zoned system just lost the compressor. The installer admits & it's all over the internet that the era we purchased (2005-****) was a "transition time" for Water furnace...
came out with the Geo-comfort brand, now owned by Enertech? New equipment has a 10 year warranty...and supposedly better quality...I have spent thousands of dollars...any savings this system provided has been flushed down the toilet due to its poor build quality.

What was your product model ? Compressor size and make ?
I also have a pile of junk in my attic that is about to be replaced. I replaced the compressor, numerous circuit boards, the water lines, added inline filters, replaced the duct system, and yes, it's still under warranty but they won't help with anything internal but the compressor.
I had to pay the labor even though the warranty says it's covered. I do not like this company!!!!
