Had 2 appts on same day for 2 family members. Received text reminders day prior.
Had appointment card. Showed up, no appointments booked. This has happened a number of times at this location. This location, under Southwest Dental, used to be hopping.
Now, 1 hygienist and no one even there. Attempted to fit us in (although we had appointments). Took my minor child back - 15 years old. I went to check on him in about 15/20 minutes in case he had cavities.
He's sitting back there. Hygienist says that he was pulled back to get x-rays done. Son says that is not the case. Person supposed to be doing x-rays looks dumbfounded.
It's getting late, well beyond our appointment times, so I say we will skip x-rays as this one hygienist is going to have to do both of ours and she isn't even done with her client. Manager comes back and I complain that my son is sitting back here, on his own, and wonder why he just wasn't left in waiting room. I explain he was supposed to be getting x-rays per the hygienist, but he had not. When she asks why, dumbfounded x-ray lady says it is because I didn't want them.
I say - hold up! I said I didn't want them when I found out they hadn't been done YET after sitting there 20 minutes and we were already late. Son and I discuss and they're gonna do a bad job at this point, so we leave. The last 3 cleanings were not good, but had been too lazy to move.
Final straw - we moved dentists. We have had so many issues with this place. Major billing issue a time back. It used to be great under SWD and it was my husband's childhood dentist, but they had gone downhill and then sold to Gentle Dental!
Read reviews - Gentle Dental sucks! They also can't keep employees! Always new. One thing I will say is that this office, even under SWD, was run far WORSE than the ortho side.
My son got done with his braces about 6 months ago and that office still rocks!
They did a great job. We will be back on the ortho side for checkups but won't set foot on the general dental side again.
