Still waiting on repair parts to be delivered to Sunova. Its only been 2 1/2 years since system worked as promised. Probably waiting on warranty to expire

Original review Sep 16, 2023
Solar panels installed March 26th,2021. After many times technician have came to my home they still as of this date September 16th,2023.

Solar panels do not produce power to grid and battery backup system does not work at all. I'm still paying loan company each month and of course the electric bill. They still not found problem. Generac blames installer and installer blames faulty equipment.

Generac sent different company to find problem and fix. They have been at my home several times and still can not find problem. They state 25 year warranty on a system that does not work.

They should have to start replacing the whole system. Channel 4 news covered many customer with same problem.

Warranty is a joke

I bought a Generac iQ2000 and mail the warranty card to the company before I took it out of the box. I was excited to get it registered and get it running.

I took it out of the box a and put fresh fuel and the oil that came from the Generac . I follow the start up instruction. I pulled the rope to many times to count and the unit would not start. I smell gas and there was gasoline all over my garage floor after further inspection there was gasoline pouring out the air line.

I took it to an authorized service center and they said it needed a new carburetor.( a NEW generator needed a New carburetor).

WTF? I got a hold of Generac and they refused to warranty it even though it was registered with them. Seems the service center wanted the receipt.

I miss place it so the would not fix it under warranty. They charged me $184.81 to replace a new carburetor with another new carburetor

I bought a Generac because of the reputation and I on stock in the company. Never again will I buy another of there products.

PARTS WAY TOO EXPENSIVE

OWN GENERAC 6500 GENERATOR--MOTOR RUNS WELL BUT WILL NOT MAKE ELECTRICITY-WHICH IS WHAT A GENERATOR IS SUPPOSED TO DO-CONTACTED GENERAC--THEY TOLD ME TO SHOP AROUND FOR PARTS. GENERATOR IS IN A GENERATOR SHOP--PROBLEM-SHORTED OUT STATOR--NOT REPAIRABLE--NEW STATOR PRICE IS MORE THAN A WHOLE NEW GENERATOR WOULD COST.SAVE YOUR MONEY--DO NOT BUY GENERAC!!
