User's recommendation: I was extremely shocked. At first, I considered opening the jacket to inspect it, but instead I carefully managed to remove the object by rotating and pushing it out through the inner fabric of the jacket. The fact that such a sharp object was left inside a children’s garment is completely unacceptable. I am still in disbelief that I allowed my child to wear this jacket several times. Children run, jump, fall and play constantly, and in such a situation this sharp object could have caused something truly horrible — a serious injury, deep wound, or trauma. Just the thought that my child could have been injured, even if it resulted “only” in fear or a small wound, is terrifying. The potential consequences could have been far more serious. This situation demonstrates gross negligence and a complete lack of quality and safety control. As a parent, I trust that children’s clothing is safe. This incident has left me deeply disappointed and concerned about the safety standards of the Gelert brand. If this matter is not addressed appropriately and without delay, I will have no option but to report this incident to Trading Standards and pursue my rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, as this product clearly failed to meet basic safety requirements.
