I had problem with my cellphone called geek squad and they told me defective phone , to send it in and they will send me replacement phone. I waited over a week and they sent me back my same phone without sending a replacement, they didn't even fix my old phone. I had to call them and now have to do the process all over again and send my phone and wait again for replacement . What a company. Not very happy with this process and getting lied to...Read more
We bought a Samsung 46"TV from Best Buy with a fully paid 4 years warranty. We had a problem in connecting the TV to the internet, laptop and Chromcast via HDMI cable, and that was the reason that we contacted Geek Squad to find a solution. Geek squad is a joke...I've never experienced such a low educated people ever...said there was damaged to my phone...I've never dropped the phone or water damage....they said there was a crack on the camera...I told best buy and they told me it was ok...

I drop poured my phone off on 1/30 at the Orange, ct location for a cracked screen. I have made multiple attempts to speak to a live person at the store but get only recorded options or hung up on. 3 times. My phone was to be back last week, yet still only showing checked in. I am a home care nurse and can't be without my phone for over a week, all for a cracked screen!

We noticed, after dishwasher installation, that our cabinet, along side of the washer, had been dinged. We contacted the installer, twice, not only informing him of problem, but also asking him a question we had about the machine (that wasn't covered in usage sheet). He never graced us with a response, although he told us to text him any time with questions.
On Jan 9, 2017 I was charged for a yearly service plan from the Geek Squad. I wanted the plan cancelled since this was an unauthorized withdrawal. When I called the 1st time, Geek Squad told me it would be 1-2 business days before the money was put back into my account. Ok, right? Wrong. Geek squad is a rip off. I've spent money with them to protect my computer. They said that the upfront cost would be it, they would never ask for more. They ask every time they call. Worse than that they don't protect the computer. While they were in a remote session on my computer, someone hacked it. They put a password protect that I couldn't get past. Geek squad is a joke they can't fix anything, but they do not tell you that when they want to sell you a very expensive warranty. My laptop doesn't power up do to a problem with the battery. Can they fix it no my warranty states if they can't fix it they will replace it. Three of my keys didn't work on my computer, so i took it in. Customer service at best buy (GEEK SQUAD) is pretty much not that knowledgeable, don't go there because they will tell you to call the 1888 number, im wondering why do they even work at best buy when they will just tell you to call. I brought my computer in because I had a virus that I couldn't get rid of. They sold me on a 2 yr plan for 3 devices for $290. They started and ran my computer then I took it home and backed up the MyDocuments then they started and ran the computer when I brought it back in. Used Apple support to book a 6S battery replacement. Selected closest location for service - Geek Squad. Showed up after driving 30 miles to find the Squad didn't have batteries. They did not inform me in advance that no replacement batteries were available. They blamed Apple for not providing enough info. I will consider both at fault as Geek Squad agrees to provide support when they know they don't have enough info from Apple.Read more
