Gates Chevy World

2 years ago I thought about looking for a new car I made the mistake of going to gates chevy world alone wow before I knew it they had my car in the back me signing papers at the same time I found out I had some health problems cancer I took the car back the same night I bought it and they told me I couldnt be helped 2 men were very rude to me . so I learned my lesson well never again... I was healthly now thank god I will be trading this car in soon but it wont be at gates everyone I know knows the story of how awful they were to me

My daughter came from Chicago and was shown very bad customer service by Paris who works in finance. She didnt get a car and no courtesy ride to the train station.

What a shame they rather sell a car than treat a person with good customer service. Lesson learned won't be sending no one else to Chevy Gates on Mckinley.

Don't ever go to the gates in Granger!!! They will put you in cars not in your budget then ask you if you can make a payment almost $100 over your budget!

Needless to say I went to another Gates and got all taken care of in 1 day... Went to Granger gates on 3 different occassions and still wasn't in a car!

We took our car in to have a timing belt gasket replaced. Received a call after Chevy had our car 7 hours that it was something else.

They never called to tell us they were keeping the car over night. Picked up car and the anti freeze leak wasn't fixed. Had to schedule another appointment to fix the original problem they didn't fix. So we were uncoveinenced a 2nd day.

Paid twice the labor and again they had my car over night with out calling. Then we got the call the car was done. They asked if we needed a ride. We did!

Waited over a half hour and nobody informed the driver. So we called back and Tina forgot to tell them. So we barely made it before closing on the 2nd day because they didn't communicate with us or the shuttle driver. They could have fixed the entire problem on the 1st day and replaced what we told them to fix and the additional problem in one day instead of four days.

I did have an appointment. If not they should have called and offer us a rental we do have jobs too.

well i bought a GMC 2500hd and have had it a week and now there is fuel problems when i bought the truck i was told there was a exstended warranty available thought i got it and no they say no warranty at all. been a chevy guy all my life think might just try a ford......................never again......................................................................................................................................................................................

I went to gates on mckinley in mishawaka to trade in my old car and upgrade since I have 3 kids and my precious car was getting old. They seemed nice and all about the customer and working with you so I was happy even though my credit sucked. I got a 2005 chevy trailblazer with only 94, 000 miles on it! I put $1, 000 cash down and they gave me $1, 000 for my old car. I left. A month later, needs new wheel barings, about 4 months later $125 for a brand new battery-old was completely fried and 4 weeks later I'm in the position I'm in now. Car been in the shop all week and its gonna cost $500! I came back thinking they cared about their customers to get told I could trade it in for an 09 impala with 63000 miles. They started the paperwork and told me they were confident it was good so they let me take it home overnight. So I made

arrangements thinking I was good then came back the next day to "finish

paperwork" instead to find out I needed to have $2, 000 down on top of the 2,

000 i already have down OR a cosigner. Then getting stuck back at sqaure one with NOTHING! JUST A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME! THEY COULD CARE LESS! DO NOT GO THERE! DONT RISK GETTING THE SAME TREATMENT I DID! MY NEXT STEP IS TO PAINT MY CAR YELLOW AND DRIVE AROUND SAYING I GOT THIS LEMON FROM GATES!!!!!!! **VERY UNHAPPY AND UNSATISFIED!!**

Purchased a brand-new 2012 black Silverado in November of last year. The truck came with a chrome package that included chrome rails on each side of the truck bed.

Several months I notice that the chrome was flaking off the bed rails and called the salesman who said bring it in and he will take a look. He and the service manager said that yes it's under warranty and needs to be replaced. So they were going to order the parts. Later they contacted me to say that they were actually installed by the dealer and were not genuine GM parts so that I would have to go back to the company they purchased them from to have them replaced.

Months later I'm still fighting with them because they actually purchase them and install them and the other company will not take them off or install them. Plus I don't have a receipt of purchasing them and they are just being very difficult to get this done.

Negligent, half-a**, unprofessional. I had work done to my car here after getting into an accident.

Took them a week for the repairs and on the way home from the shop my car broke down, headlight was unplugged, and found loose articles inside my engine bay. Returned car to shop. Got it back the next day, car broke down again a couple days later. Turns out that they "missed" that I had a blown head gasket.

Three weeks later and my car is now at the make and model dealership. They assisted me in getting setup for another rental and getting my car towed to the dealer, so I must thank them for that (even know it should be expected).

The paint work looked nice but other than that I would NEVER return to this shop for any service or sales.. Find another shop.

Last year my husband was hit by a Pepsi delivery truck. Not only did we get a shady deal with Pepsi compensating our losses but the dealership where we got our new car from didn't do us any favors either.

First off the salesman lied to my husband just to get the sale, no surprise there. Car salesman are notorious for lying just to make the sale. The whole planet knows NEVER trust a car salesman. Well the finance department not a bright bunch either.

Seriously does this place only hire liars and *** Because the first guy just sat in his seat looking at the paperwork then looking at us said "Hmmm" a couple of times. Never really spoke and when he did he such a low talker you couldn't even hear him sitting 2 feet in front of him. Not to mention he acted as if he didn't even want to be there at work let alone doing his job efficiently. Then the second kid, and I do mean "kid" screwed up my paperwork.

I live in Indiana my mother-in-law (co-signer) lives in Texas. Now they knew that I own the car. So explain to me how it is that he managed to register my car in TEXAS!!! They never gave me a paper plate.

I was not going to give them anymore money until they fixed their incompetence. They refused to fix it till i gave them money. Then after i agreed on making payments they decided that they weren't going to register my car till they got the rest of their down payment. They conned my mother-in-law into paying.

Now that they did that my house & car payments can not be paid, my water and electric is about to be turned off. How am I supposed to care for my two kids in a house that has NO amenities because the dealership had to have their measly $700. So what if CPS decides that they want to take my children due to this. WE PURCHASED VEHICLES FROM GATES ON 5/21/2008,I BROUGHT ALL THE INFORMATION THEY REQUESTED TO FINANCE OFFICE ON 5/22/2008 , ALSO THEY DID NOT REQUIRE A DOWN PAYMENT THEY TRADED THE TRUCK AT 3000 IT WAS TO GO TOWARD THE GRAND PIX NONE REQUIRED ON THE IMPALA,WE TOLD THEM UP FRONT THAT THE TRUCK WE WERE TRADING WAS NOT A GOOD TRADE THAT WE STILL OWED A WHOLE LOT ON IT THE SALES PERSON NAMED JASON LONG, ASSURED US ALONG WITH HIS MANAGER BRIAN THAT WE COULD BURY THE EQUITY OF THAT TRUCK INTO THE TWO VEHICLES WE ENDED UP GETTING, THEY CHOSE THE CARS A 2005 IMPALA AND A 2007 GRAND PRIX, WE PRECEDED TO GO THE FINANCE OFFICE ON MCKINLEY TO FINISH THE DEAL I EXPLAINED TO THEM THAT I DID NOT HAVE GOOD CREDIT AND THAT WE ARE SO MESSED UP IN THE DEAL ON THE TRUCK I DOUBT IF WE WILL GET FINANCED, I ASKED BRIAN THE FINANCE OFFICER DO WE STILL GET TO TAKE THE VEHICLES OR SHOULD WE WAIT TO HEAR BACK FROM THEM HE AND JASON ASSURED ME THAT IF WE COULD NOT GET FINANCED WE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ALLOWED TO DRIVE OFF WITH THE CARS.

WELL HERE IT IS 2 WEEKS LATER AND THEY ARE TELLING ME THAT I NEED TO BRING THEM 5000 MORE DOLLARS OR BRING THE CARS BACK THAT I NEED COSIGNERS AND ALL SORTS OF THINGS BUT THE BOTTOM LINE IS NO MONEY BRING THE CARS AFTER WE WERE ASSURED THE CARS WERE OURS TO KEEP AND NOW WE WILL BE WITHOUT A VEHICLE PERIOD THEY ASSURED ME THAT THEY WOULD PAY THE TRUCK OFF AND WE STOPPED MAKING PAYMENTS ON THE TRUCK SO NOW THAT THEY DID NOT DO THIS THE PLACE WE FINANCED THE TRUCK THROUGH IS TALKING ABOUT REPOSSESSING IT DUE TO BREACH OF CONTRACT WITH US SO WE ARE STUCK WITH NOTHING BUT A LOT OF EMPTY PROMISES FROM GATES. WHY WERE WE ALLOWED TO DRIVE OFF WITH THE VEHICLES AND LEAVE THE TRADE SIGN ALL THE PAPER WORK NEEDED AN LEAVE THE LOT DRIVE THESE CARS FOR TWO WEEKS I CALLED THEM EVERYDAY TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON AND THEY ( BRIAN IN FINANCE COREY) ASSURED ME THEY WOULD GET IT FINANCED AND EVERY THING WAS OK KEEP DRIVING THE TRUCK IS PAYED OFF NOT TO WORRY NOW THEY WANT THE CARS BACK AND I HAVE TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO FOR A VEHICLE IM LIKE WHEN WILL THE LITTLE GUY GET AHEAD AND NOT HAVE TO GO THROUGH SO MUCH AND SO MANY LIES THIS IS RIDICULOUS FIRS JD BYRYDER AND NOW GATES

Reneged on two car deal after only 3 weeks. My mother and I drove off the lot with both cars and then after two weeks were notified that we both needed co-signers.

We were also told they could not finance after signing took place. They took my 2000 Chevy Blazer as a down payment on both cars and now cannot locate it for me. They want us to return both cars so they can try to cut us a deal on ONE car.

They have not been very constructive in helping locate my previous vehicle and have not given me very good proposals on a new vehicle.
