The second paragraph states that since he had full insurance, there would be no problem canceling . Buying the full coverage was reccommended by gate 1 so he wouldn't lose any money. So what's up with that ?

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience in Jordan. The hotel star rating in the US are not the same as they are in other countries.

A 5-star hotel in another company is not comparable to a 5-star hotel in the US. Good thing to keep in mind when you book future travel.

I just finished a 13 day Turkey tour with Gate 1: all of the hotels were very good, one restaurant was not up to par and I understand Gate 1 will be dropping this hotel because of complaints. The tour guide was outstanding!

My last trip (Ecuador 2011) was just as good an experience!

The only problem I had was my room, in an otherwise acceptable hotel--and Gate 1 gave me a significant credit because of the condition of that room. I thought it was fair and didn't have to push them on it.

My next trip will be Gate 1, without any reservation!

Not G1 cancelling. IF you didn't buy insurance, you need to take something like this up with Mexicana.

I'm on my 7th reservation with G1.

Never a problem with them.

I have been traveling around the world for 45 years. By far, G1 is THE BEST from all tour companies I ever used!

I sent Gate 1 Travel an email 9 days ago about a China tour in the summer of '16. I asked what a "first Class" hotel was (3, 4, or 5 star)?

No answer after 9 days. This caused me to dig a little deeper and read some reviews.

They seem to have some very, very bad reviews. I will NOT be booking w/ Gate 1 for my China Tour.

I don't see how it is Gate 1's fault that an airline charges a fee to change flights? Just because you want to stay in Rome one extra day the agency should swallow the $500 fee Delta charges to do so?

Hamed is a ***. This is exactly what happens when you do NOT reade all of your travel docs in triplicate before you leave.

Yes Gate 1 made a human error, but the fault is that of the customer for not reading his docs as he was INSTRUCTED TO DO BY THE TRAVEL SELLER.

The kid sounds like a whiny, spoiled brat, also.

I was on a Grand Circle River cruise last year on the Rhine. At least 12 passengers were sick for at least 3 days with what seemed like Noro, 4 of them part of our group of 10.

I know from comments made by crew members that several passengers and crew were sick on the previous cruise that terminated the day we arrived. It seems that Noro is present on many River cruise ships.
