THE CONCLUSION TO MY FIRST POST IS GATE 1 PROVES THEY ARE THE ROGUE COMPANY EVERYONE WHO POSTED ON THIS SITE KNOWS ABOUT. GATE 1 TELLS THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU THAT, "THEY WILL NOT COMPENSENATE...I SHOULD READ THE CONTRACT, WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR HOTELS!" REMEMBER WHEN YOU THINK YOUR GETTING A BARGAIN FROM THIS LOW END OPERATOR YOU ARE SAVING NOTHING BECAUSE THEY DO NOT MAKE SURE THE HOTELS BEHAVE. INSTEAD THEY WILL TELL YOU TOUGH LUCK!!!!!! DON'T BELIEVE ME READ ALL THEIR COMPLAINTS ON THIS SITE AND THEN READ THE COMPLAINTS ON TRIP ADVISOR FORUM. DON'T TRUST THE BBB EITHER BECAUSE THEIR A RATING IS NOT CORRECT IT SHOULD BE A D AT BEST. AND THATS ONLY BECAUSE THEY PUT YOU IN THE DUMPS THEY PROMISED YOU.

Gate1travel in Homestead, Florida - False advertisement

As a couple and loyal customers of Gate 1 travel for more than fifteen years,my husband an I received a promocode FBLOYALTY for the amount of $500 dollars each. When we try to book a trip from a mini broshure which has a promocode for $250 dollars per person, our new reservation came the same price as the one with the so call loyalty promo,because I was told by the company that it can be only apply for one of us and can not be combine with other offers. I have had similar experience in the past with survey rewards that they suppossely offer, but you can not use it with other offers. To me, this is a false advertisement and ways to trick people to book with them.

This happen to me when I got a discount coupon from the United Airline because of a long delay. If I book ticket with the coupon ,it shows it doesn't match with all fare type. And end up its more expensive than the on sales fare.

Gate1travel in Cedarhurst, New York - Name Incorrect

My mom who is 70 years and do not know how to use a computer have a travel agent book a trip for her, she call to inquire where is her ticket and other information and was told it was email to her daughter, who did not get a call to say the information was sent. on checking on the information she notice that her name was spelled wrong reported immediately and they told her is too late form them to make any changes and her trip is on January 24, 2013.she was told that they will update TSA and notify the cruise line , but can't make any promised that she wont have a problems.Is this an answer you gave a 70 years woman.Anyone have any ideas what I should do to have Gate1travel make the corrections.

Complaints like a low volume TV or cold eggs doesn't warrant compensation but it's definitely your choice to take your business elsewhere next time. Like the other reviewer said, you will be hospitalized if you had third degree burns, & if that was the case, seems like you would've likely hired a lawyer to sue already instead of just reporting them to BBB.

maybe Gate1 will take your comments more seriously if you didn't threaten them for compensation, what do you want? A free trip?

Gate1travel in Maryland Heights, Missouri - GATE 1 TRAVEL

1) 2 people booked trip - 1 IN California, 1 in PA. Gate 1 refused to send info to both of us unless we understood that this might cause us to be booked separately & that we might not end up together. It was ridiculous, made no sense & forced CA person - who did 1st booking, to send all info to PA since Gate 1 would not. Since Gate 1 is HQd about 30 minutes from PA person, this made it even more aggravating. 2) guides in Equador were terrible - told us the main Cathedral was under renovation and was closed so we didn't go - found out too late that it was opened so we didn't see it. That left the guide free for the day & us on our own. Guide recommended a place for dinner - not in a safe neighborhood and didn't make any arrangements for us to get there. Luckily, a male friend was concerned and showed up toward the end of dinner to walk us back to the very mediocre hotel. Would never use this travel agency again.

If you been bitten by bugs. You should knew it right the way.

As you said you start inches on the plane that means the *** is somewhere between from the transfer to airport and the plane.

The hotel should be ok. Otherwise you should felt inches in the morning.

Gate1travel in Tuscaloosa, Alabama - Gate 1 worst seats on plane, way overpriced

Gate 1, booked Baltic cruise early in year (2012), way overpriced, airline seats were worst on plane (last row, next to gallies & lav, Airbus 343 seat map lists them as red for poorest on plane, Gate 1 did not give us our seat assignment until two weeks before flight), duration of our return home will be about 23 hours, Gate 1 package included no guides or toiurs ( just a boat ticket), we had to do that on our own. Gate 1 rep won't answer phone or return calls. We have had to do our own dealing with the airline (SAS) and their website is next to worthless. We have not taken the trip yet so do not have high expectations.

If it was overpriced, why did you book with them?? I book Gate 1 two times every year, but did NOT use them for our Baltics cruise, as got better deal with cruise company or cruise specialist, don;t remember which.

Did you expect some special optionals or guide not promised by Gate 1? Why would you? Gate 1 gave you exactly what you contracted for.

You possibly could have changed your seat online before getting to the plane, independent of Gate 1. Anyway, someone has to sit in the back row - might as well be a *** complainer like you.

We also had Vanni for a tour manager in Italy. We have toured with a number of companies, and Vanni was by far the most professional tour manager we have had, which is saying a lot, since we have never had a manager/guide that we didn't like. I cannot imagine a better experience in Italy than the trip we had.
